醫(yī)學家。廣東梅縣人。1934年畢業(yè)于中山大學醫(yī)學院，獲學士學位和金質獎牌。中國醫(yī)學科學院實驗醫(yī)學研究所教授。中國實驗腫瘤學的創(chuàng)始人之一。在中國首次利用芳香烴類化合物誘發(fā)小鼠皮下纖維肉瘤獲成功；建立第一個纖維肉瘤SP，先后建立9個可移植瘤株，創(chuàng)建了第一個“瘤株保種傳代室”；對宮頸癌、食管癌病因做了研究，首次提出食管癌霉菌病因問題，并創(chuàng)立了“宮頸癌綜合病因學說”。

1980年當選為中國科學院院士（學部委員）。

Specialist in medicine. Born in Meixian, Guangdong Province. Graduated with B.Sc. and gold medal from the Medical School of Zhongshan University in 1934. Professor, Department of Pathology, Institute of Experimental Medicine, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.

Yang was one of the founders of experimental oncology in China. He was the first in China who successfully used aromatic hydrocarbon compounds to induce subcutaneous fibrosarcoma SP, 9 transplantable tumor strains and the first laboratory for the preservation and reproduction of tumor strains. He studied the etiology of cervical cancer and esophagus carcinoma. He was the first to propose the mycotic pathogeny of esophagus carcinoma and he established the comprehensive etiologic hypothesis of cervical carcinoma.

He was elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980.
