Just for today I will try to live through this day only and not tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do something for twelve hours that would appall me if I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

Just for today I will be happy. This assumes to be true what Abraham Lincoln said， that“Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.”

Just for today I will adjust myself to what is， and not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my“l(fā)uck”as it comes.

Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will not be a mental loafer. I will read something that requires effort， thought and concentration.

Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways. I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out： If anybody knows of it， it will not count. I will do at least two things I dont want to do—just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt： they may be hurt， but today I will not show it.

Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can， dress becomingly， talk low， act courteously， criticize not one bit， and try not to improve or regulate anybody but myself.

Just for today I will have a program， I may not follow it exactly， but I will have it. I will save myself from two pests： hurry and indecision.

Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself and relax. During this half hour， sometime， I will try to get a better perspective of my life.

Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful， and to believe that as I give to the world， so the world will give to me.

就為了今天，我會用三種方法來磨煉我的靈魂。我會做對某人有利的事但不能被發(fā)現(xiàn)，若有人發(fā)現(xiàn)了就不算數(shù)。我將會做至少兩件我不愿做的事情——只為了磨練。我不會讓任何人感到我的感情受到了傷害：它們可能受到了傷害，但今天我不想表現(xiàn)出來。

就為了今天，我會過得很愜意?？雌饋砦疫_到了最佳狀態(tài)，穿著得體、講話謙虛、行為禮貌、一點不吹毛求疵，盡量改進和調(diào)節(jié)自己而不是別人。

就為了今天，我會制定一個計劃，我也許不會嚴格地遵守它，但我一定要有計劃。我會避免兩種錯誤：倉促行事和優(yōu)柔寡斷。

就為了今天，我將會獨自靜靜地呆上半小時放松。在這半小時里，某個時刻，我會日后對我的生活有個更好的看法。

就為了今天，我將不再害怕。尤其我不會再害怕享受美麗的事物，并且相信我給予世界的，世界也會給予我。
