1. Because it wasnt raining
因為那時候天沒有下雨
Smart is a well-known smart boy. He can answer any question the others ask.
One day, Billy asked him a difficult question. Billy said,“Smart, can you answer me a question?”
Smart said, “Sure.”
Billy said, “If six children and two dogswere under an umbrella, how come none ofthem got wet?”
Smart thought it over and said, “Because it wasnt raining.”
眾所周知, 斯馬特是一個聰明的男孩。他能回答別人提出的任何問題。

Mike replied immediately, “No. They said it was lemonade.”

John said, “No. My dad is the best. He can shoot a gun, run after the bullet, get in front of it.”
Tom said, “Your fathers are just so so! My father is the best. One night, he discovered a meteorite flying towards Earth. He jumped into the air and grabbed the meteorite with just one hand.”
杰克、約翰和湯姆都是小孩子。他們都是5歲。他們經常一起聊天。
一天下午,他們聊起誰的爸爸是最棒的。
杰克說:“我爸爸是最棒的。他會射箭,能追箭,能沖在箭前,還能徒手接住箭?!?/p>

湯姆說:“你們的父親馬馬虎虎!我爸爸才是最棒的。一天晚上,他發(fā)現一顆隕石飛向地球。他跳到空中,只用一只手就抓住了那顆隕石。”

At this, Johnny cried louder than ever.
“Now what is it?” asked his dad.
“I wish Id said Id lost ten cents!”
一天,小約翰正在哭泣,他爸爸問他為什么哭。
“我丟了五美分?!奔s翰抽泣著說。
“別擔心,”他爸爸和藹地說,“我再給你五美分?!?/p>
聽到這里,約翰哭得比此前的聲音更大。
“現在又怎么了?”他爸爸問道。
“我真希望我剛才說我丟了十美分!”
