When Amanda Wilson got into a caraccident, a pair of passers?by rushed toher rescue. The resident was on her usualroute when another driver turned unex?pectedly. The resulting crash totaledAmanda's car, which left her with someinjuries.
“On my way back to work, I wasgoing through the intersection of SantaBarbara and Gleason. I had a green light,”Amanda recalled.“ Right as I was crossingthrough the intersection, there was a redcar that turned left right in front of me andwe collided with each other.”
After the accident, Amanda realizedthat she'd broken one of her arms.“Thefirst thing running through my mind wasjust to make sure I was okay,” she said.“ Iwas looking at myself. I was looking at myarm. I have some abrasions (擦傷) on myarm. Then I looked at my other arm, andthe arm was shaped like a Z.”
Thankfully, Amanda was not left todeal with the situation on her own. Shereported that an anonymous woman andan off?duty doctor hurried over to help.“We're going to get you out of the car,”said the doctor, according to Amanda.
The strangers were able to extract theinjured woman from her totaled car and gether off the road. Amanda says that she'sgrateful for their intervention. Amandasmom, who lives out of state, was flooredwhen she heard about the anonymousrescuers who helped her daughter in hertime of need. Now, Amanda is hoping to beable to find and thank the two people whohelped her.
