新課標(biāo)、新高考、新教材背景下，高考英語聚焦于語言能力、文化意識(shí)、思維品質(zhì)和學(xué)習(xí)能力的學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)，側(cè)重對(duì)學(xué)生綜合應(yīng)用英語能力的考察，這一特點(diǎn)在近三年高考英語試題中尤為突出。其中，學(xué)生對(duì)于“熟詞生義”的處理能夠衡量出綜合語言能力，如果對(duì)“熟詞生義”這一現(xiàn)象缺乏敏感性，只停留在“熟詞熟義”層面，無法準(zhǔn)確識(shí)別出該單詞在文中的應(yīng)有之義，就會(huì)導(dǎo)致對(duì)段落、篇章的理解產(chǎn)生偏差。為助力學(xué)生突破這一難題，筆者對(duì)2021—2023 年高考試卷中的“熟詞生義”用法進(jìn)行了整理、分析并做出預(yù)測，提出了新的備考策略，供廣大師生參考。

一、真題再現(xiàn)

（一）2023 年高考真題熟詞生義用法匯總

【新課標(biāo)Ⅰ卷閱讀A 篇】

二、分析與建議

1.判斷詞性，轉(zhuǎn)換詞義

閱讀試題時(shí)，如果碰到與常用詞性不一致的“熟詞”，師生需要首先判斷“熟詞”在文中的詞性，通過閱讀上下文，對(duì)詞義進(jìn)行轉(zhuǎn)化。

常見的詞性轉(zhuǎn)化有：動(dòng)詞名詞化（stand小攤販、drive 驅(qū)動(dòng)力、produce 農(nóng)產(chǎn)品、pick 精華、regard尊重、bite 咬下去的一口）；名詞動(dòng)詞化（picture描繪藍(lán)圖、spring 跳躍、spot 發(fā)現(xiàn)）；形容詞名詞化（some 一些人或事、beauty 美人或美景、best最好的人或事）；形容詞副詞化（some 大約）；名詞形容詞化（umbrella 綜合的）等。

本文第一章節(jié)中2023 年題1.9，2022 年題3.8.11.14.16.18.19.20.21.23.32.33.34.40屬于此類情況。

2.反向構(gòu)詞，拓展詞義

雖然新課標(biāo)中僅有3 500 個(gè)詞匯，但高考命題絕不局限于這3 500 詞。試題的命制是由這3 500詞匯拓展而成，可見構(gòu)詞法學(xué)習(xí)的重要性。一個(gè)單詞一般由前綴（prefix）、詞根（root）和后綴（suffix）這三個(gè)部分組成。前綴改變?cè)~義，詞根決定單詞的核心意思，后綴改變?cè)~性。所以，如果能夠保留詞根進(jìn)行反向推導(dǎo)，將“生義”簡化成“熟義”，再結(jié)合語境，適度拓展就能夠很大程度上靈活解決“熟詞生義”的問題。

本文第一章節(jié)中2023 年題3.4，2022 年題3與題30 屬于此類情況。以2022 年題3.30 為例，具體分析如下：

由于excused adj.→excuse v.（原諒，寬??；辯解，開脫；準(zhǔn)許……離開；同意免除），an excused absence 可以理解成“經(jīng)過（老師）批準(zhǔn)的缺課”，整句話就能轉(zhuǎn)換成“因?yàn)橐淮握?qǐng)假缺課造成短文寫作未交（的情況）是可以接受的?！?/p>

30.Admissionto lectures is free.

由于admission n.→admit v.（允許進(jìn)入，承認(rèn)），整句話可以理解成“參加講座是免費(fèi)的”，那么“admission”就可以解讀為“入場費(fèi)”。

3.借助搭配，想象詞義

高考試題中不乏地道的說明文，此類文章涵蓋的專業(yè)詞匯多、涉及范圍廣，這給學(xué)生的閱讀理解造成了不小的困擾。針對(duì)專業(yè)術(shù)語中的“熟詞生義”，師生可以借助詞組搭配，結(jié)合文章話題，發(fā)揮想象進(jìn)行推敲。

本文第一章節(jié)中2023 年題7.8.10，2022 年題1.2.4.5.6.8.11.12.13.14.15.19.23.28.31.34.36.37.38.39.40.41 屬于此類情況。以下，對(duì)2022 年題36 與題38 進(jìn)行具體分析：

通過句子成分劃分，可知36 題中主句為“the tax was introduced to help reduce childhood obesity”，考慮到本文主旨大意為“通過征收飲料含糖稅收的方式來降低兒童肥胖率”，was introduced 在文章應(yīng)轉(zhuǎn)意成“被實(shí)施、被運(yùn)用”。根據(jù)上文背景（稅收的實(shí)施）與下文“因?yàn)閾?dān)心會(huì)引發(fā)消費(fèi)者不滿而拒絕改變”，得知38 題中對(duì)于“high sugar brands（含糖量高的飲料品牌）”是被動(dòng)接受這項(xiàng)稅收條款的，所以accept 可以理解成“忍受，容忍”。

三、預(yù)測與備考策略

縱觀近幾年的高考試題，“熟詞生義”現(xiàn)象看似零散，其實(shí)有規(guī)律可循。

1.“熟詞生義”現(xiàn)象多出現(xiàn)在說明文、議論文或夾敘夾議文中，尤其集中在高考閱讀的C 篇與D 篇。因此，在試題解答中，如遇到此類文章，師生應(yīng)提高警惕，敏銳辨別“熟詞生義”，避免慣性思維。

2.通過總結(jié)分析，不難發(fā)現(xiàn)有許多相同的“熟詞”反復(fù)出現(xiàn)，這類詞未來在高考中出現(xiàn)的機(jī)率很大，如“run（發(fā)布；印刷），consume（吃；喝；飲）,tell（看出；準(zhǔn)確判斷）,class（階級(jí)；組別）”等。師生需高度重視，注意積累，熟練掌握此類“熟詞”。

3.此外，許多“熟詞”還存在多種“生義”。未來高考可能會(huì)考察同一“熟詞”的不同“生義”。師生應(yīng)深度挖掘，舉一反三，靈活掌握此類“熟詞”在不同語境、情境和場合下的多層“生義”，示例如下：

本文第一章節(jié)中2022 年題14 與題19 中的“pilot”一詞屬于此類情況，考察的生義分別為“實(shí)驗(yàn)性的”和“領(lǐng)航；駕駛（船只）”。此外，“pilot”還有可能用作動(dòng)詞，出現(xiàn)“引導(dǎo)”生義。

還有一些“熟詞”，如“charge”考查過“要價(jià)”生義，還有可能出現(xiàn)“沖鋒；感染力”等生義；“regard”考察過“尊敬”生義，還有可能出現(xiàn)“關(guān)注；問候”等生義。

總之，詞語的本意離不開語境，不同語境會(huì)賦予同一單詞不同含義。師生需要廣泛閱讀，不斷積累、掌握單詞活用技巧，實(shí)現(xiàn)在“熟詞”本義的基礎(chǔ)上，進(jìn)行合理且有邏輯的聯(lián)想，使語篇語境符合實(shí)際，準(zhǔn)確理解文章內(nèi)涵，破除“熟詞生義”帶來的障礙。
