Hello,everyone.Let me introduce something about the puppet show and how I learn the puppet show.

The tradition of Chinese puppetry（木偶表演）rooted in Han Dynasty,has become very popular now.There are different kinds of puppet shows and Rugao wooden-rod puppets（杖頭木偶戲）are the most common.Rod puppets are controlled by a stick or wire attached to the puppet’s main body parts.It is the role of the puppeteer（木偶表演者）to make these forms come alive.Sadly,it is widely noted that lots of traditional culture is disappearing along with the development of technology.So is the puppet show.More and more people have realized the problem,including me.

It is not easy to learn the puppet show.Every puppeteer needs to hold up a puppet weighing about 8kg with one hand for at least 40 minutes.That’s why my right arm is always stronger and bigger than my left one.

During the performance,I use my right hand to manipulate（操縱）the wooden stick connected to the head,and control the rotation（旋轉(zhuǎn)）,opening and closing of his eyes,eyelids and mouth through the mechanism.My left hand controls the hand lever connected with the hand.At first,puppets and I are not integrated（融合）,and the puppet’s action is stiff（僵硬的）.However,I believe practice makes perfect.After hard and long practice,the puppet seems to be given life.

In summary,it’s of great importance for us to appreciate the unique charm of this intangible cultural heritage（非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)）.
