1.No matter what happens, you shouldn’t give up yourself.
2.No matter what happens, you shouldn’t give yourself up.
墒怯⒄Z(yǔ)中g(shù)ive up表示放棄時(shí),句型是give sth. up而不是give sb. up,所以建議去掉yourself,變成這個(gè)句子:No matter what happens, you shouldn’t give up.
英語(yǔ)當(dāng)中也確實(shí)有g(shù)ive sb. up這個(gè)句型。
After a week on the run he gave himself up to the police.
2. give sb. up= give up on sb. There you are at last! We’d given you up. His teachers seem to have given up on him.
She had to give her baby up. I know deep down that I should give him up.
