The first World TeachersDay was held on October 5th，1994. Over 100 countries， like Canada， Germany， Russia and theUK， celebrate World TeachersDay.

In China， TeachersDay is held on September 10th.Students send their teachers gifts， such as greeting cardsand flowers， to show their respect. Some graduates（畢業(yè)生）may visit their former（以前的）teacherson that day.

Teachers?day in India印度教師節(jié)

In India， TeachersDay is celebrated on September 5th.In some schools， teachers will have a day off（放一天假）. Thoseschools will ask senior students to play their teachersrole.Thus， the students can better understand the meaning of being ateacher.

Teachers?day in?Singapore新加坡教師節(jié)

Its on the first Friday of September. Its a school holiday，so Singaporeans usually celebrate it on the day before（前一天）.Some schools will prepare a show for teachers. The performersare students.

Teachers?day in Korea韓國(guó)教師節(jié)

It is on May 15th. On that day，students usually send their teachersheartfelt（ 真誠(chéng)的） greeting letters andcarnations（康乃馨）. The carnations aredecorated with colourful ribbons（絲帶）.
