立足高校 堅持創(chuàng)新
——深圳大學建筑設(shè)計研究院教育建筑創(chuàng)作實踐

深圳大學建筑設(shè)計研究院有限公司(簡稱“深大院”)成立于1984年,擁有建筑、規(guī)劃雙甲級資質(zhì)。設(shè)上海分院、西安分院兩家分支機構(gòu),下屬企業(yè)深大源建筑技術(shù)研究有限公司。深大院堅持自主創(chuàng)新,爭創(chuàng)名牌設(shè)計院,建立了一套完善的科學管理制度和嚴格質(zhì)量保證體系。曾獲得深圳行業(yè)建筑規(guī)劃10強企業(yè)稱號、全國建筑業(yè)技術(shù)創(chuàng)新先進企業(yè)稱號,2012年被中國建筑學會評為“當代中國建筑設(shè)計百家名院”。

建院三十七年以來,伴隨著深圳的發(fā)展和深圳大學的成長,深大院從一個只有十幾人的設(shè)計室發(fā)展到目前擁有多名全國著名專家學者的大型甲級綜合設(shè)計院,我院現(xiàn)有各類專業(yè)技術(shù)及管理人員400多人。所完成的幾千個項目覆蓋了各類公共文化建筑、教育建筑、辦公建筑、商業(yè)建筑與城市綜合體、產(chǎn)業(yè)總部園區(qū)、醫(yī)療養(yǎng)老建筑、體育建筑、交通樞紐建筑及居住區(qū)建筑等。作品獲國家、部、省、市各級優(yōu)秀設(shè)計和科技獎近千項。包括了全國優(yōu)秀工程設(shè)計獎、建設(shè)部優(yōu)秀工程勘察設(shè)計獎、中國建筑學會建筑創(chuàng)作獎、全國優(yōu)秀結(jié)構(gòu)設(shè)計金獎、華夏建設(shè)科學技術(shù)一等獎、詹天佑土木工程大獎、兩岸四地建筑金銀獎以及省市優(yōu)秀工程一等獎等。

歷經(jīng)近四十載的探索和實踐,校園規(guī)劃與教育建筑設(shè)計作為深大院的一項重要業(yè)務(wù)板塊,深大院為深圳乃至全國的校園建設(shè)打造了一批批精品工程,并以此形成一套關(guān)于教育建筑創(chuàng)作的理論方法體系。教育建筑的創(chuàng)作實踐發(fā)展,大致分為四個發(fā)展時期。在不同時期的創(chuàng)作語境下,校園與城市環(huán)境、校園布局、功能空間、結(jié)構(gòu)體系、建筑形態(tài)方面均呈現(xiàn)出“深大院”關(guān)于校園規(guī)劃和教育建筑的鮮明特色與勇于創(chuàng)新、突破陳規(guī)的風格。

一 (1984-1994年)以深大校園基本規(guī)劃和初期建設(shè)為主體的教育建筑創(chuàng)作形成期

深圳大學校園總體規(guī)劃和建筑設(shè)計(圖1)是深大院最早承接和完成的校園建筑作品。校園總規(guī)劃面積約1平方公里,建筑面積22萬平方米。處在改革開放浪潮中的特區(qū)大學,首要考慮如何創(chuàng)辦一所改革開放后適應(yīng)特區(qū)與社會發(fā)展需求的新型大學。深大院在規(guī)劃上提出了頗具前沿的設(shè)計理念:擯棄學科分立,打破學科體系,形成了教學、科研辦公、實驗、圖書館、會堂為主體的緊湊公共教學區(qū)。規(guī)劃突破中規(guī)中矩的傳統(tǒng)對稱的布局模式,尊重和利用校園內(nèi)部復雜地形,因地制宜,建立了臨山面海教學中心區(qū)(現(xiàn)圖書館北館、辦公樓和教學樓組群)建筑群體,起到統(tǒng)領(lǐng)校園全局的作用。同時借用原始地形的湖面、溝壑以及荔枝樹林,形成了文山湖、杜鵑山和荔枝林,營造別具一格的校園空間特色。此外校園不設(shè)圍墻、融入城市肌理的全開放理念,保留大片荔枝林及各種樹木的生態(tài)理念,這種遵循校園與自然融合的有機生態(tài)的規(guī)劃實踐在20世紀80年代的中國大學校園設(shè)計中獨樹一幟。

這時期最早涌現(xiàn)出一批的經(jīng)典教育建筑單體,如:(1)深大圖書館北館(圖1):位于校園重要軸線北端節(jié)點,有著與辦公樓和教學樓聯(lián)系的便捷連廊、觀景聚集休息的二層大平臺、尺度合宜的中庭空間及懸空樓梯、開放式的閱讀室自修室、有韻律感的條形窗與凸出墻體的立面,在現(xiàn)代圖書館設(shè)計中不論是外部造型和內(nèi)部功能使用仍極具參考和借鑒意義。(2)演會中心(圖1):在設(shè)計上力求保留環(huán)境場地特征,結(jié)合嶺南氣候條件,以樸素自然的概念,因地制宜、因勢利導,打破會堂固有的封閉性和權(quán)威感,突出了大眾性和民主氣質(zhì),創(chuàng)造了一個通透、開放、充滿活力、親切自然的共享場所,放在今天看來仍具有前瞻性。(3)深大教學樓群(圖1):由三個口字型平面連體形成,依地形北高南低,每個口字型底層架空,底層形成高低錯落的庭園,構(gòu)成了連通與穿透的空間結(jié)合,不同風格廣場若隱若現(xiàn),穿行其中,移步異景。(4)元平體育館、學生活動中心等文體設(shè)施在環(huán)境對話、內(nèi)外空間、開放形象等方面也頗具深圳地域特色。

二 (1995-2005年)以深大校園新擴建的單體和深圳本土中小學校園為主體的教育建筑創(chuàng)作開拓期

上世紀90年代末至21世紀初,隨著中國教育產(chǎn)業(yè)化的發(fā)展和高等教育規(guī)劃展目標的提出,高校資源迅速擴大。深圳大學在校生規(guī)模擴大五倍,校園建設(shè)亟需擴建完善。深大院在延續(xù)上世紀80年代校園規(guī)劃布局的基礎(chǔ)上進行校園單體新建、擴建,陸續(xù)完成了一批新建筑單體作品,如(1)深圳大學圖書館二期(圖3),在加強校園空間形態(tài)秩序的同時,通過二進制代碼轉(zhuǎn)譯成環(huán)境要素,以求得新舊圖書館形式和空間構(gòu)成上的自相似。(2)深大科技樓(圖4),作為整個校園制高點,一個自成一體而各向均質(zhì)的體量造型,建立了與各個方向周邊建筑的對話。(3)深大建筑與城市規(guī)劃學院院館(圖5),營造了純靜而具有超驗品質(zhì)的建筑空間,產(chǎn)生與校園精神內(nèi)在聯(lián)系的場所體驗。(4)深大師范學院教學實驗樓(圖6),強調(diào)建筑內(nèi)外空間相互滲透,通過建筑內(nèi)部通高中庭和拔空庭院,在豎向上將不同標高的流動空間連成一體,并結(jié)合嶺南地區(qū)氣候的設(shè)計策略,形成一種綠色與開放的空間系統(tǒng)。

另外該時期也開始積極參與到外地的大學校園建設(shè),如完成了東莞理工學院松山湖校區(qū)圖書館(圖7),建筑面積24700m2。設(shè)計以呼應(yīng)基地要素,加強校園規(guī)劃秩序為理念,以純粹簡約的平行四邊形形體,將場地切割出三大公共空間呼應(yīng)入口、水體及禮堂,進一步加強規(guī)劃軸線以及中心廣場的向心性,以謙遜的姿態(tài)融入校園。廣西工學院科教中心的校園規(guī)劃與建筑單體(圖8),建筑形式純粹樸素、方整規(guī)矩,并植入地方文化元素。

此外,該時期同時參加了深圳本土的中小學校園設(shè)計,如深圳中學科學館、深圳外國語學校擴建、深圳實驗學校小學部,福田外國語學校(景龍中學)(圖9)等。這一批批的中小學校園經(jīng)典案例,不僅回應(yīng)了深圳城市環(huán)境問題,同時在中小學校園空間特色上做出了積極的探索,努力構(gòu)建符合教育理念的教學空間模式,并力求塑造符合深圳南方地域氣候特征的靈活多變、通透開放、綠色共享的校園空間體系。

三 (2005-2015年)以深圳高校校園建設(shè)為主體的教育建筑創(chuàng)作發(fā)展期

進入21世紀初,深圳加大了對高校建設(shè)的引進和投入,深圳市工務(wù)署、規(guī)劃局陸續(xù)舉行了一批深圳高校校園的競賽投標,深大院陸續(xù)中標多個項目。

(1)2008年深大院中標深大西麗校區(qū)的校園規(guī)劃和建設(shè)單體設(shè)計(圖10),總規(guī)劃用地面積138公頃,總建筑面積73萬m2。目前一期28萬m2已完成并投入使用,二期43萬m2還在建設(shè)中。規(guī)劃設(shè)計力求將校園塑造成深圳可持續(xù)發(fā)展的范例,以創(chuàng)造一個充滿自然生機、人文詩意的生態(tài)山水校園。

同時期,深大院還完成了深大本部校園的一些高質(zhì)量作品如南校區(qū)學生公寓(圖11)、深大藝術(shù)邨(圖12)。

(2)南方科技大學首期建筑單體(圖13):校園總占地198公頃,規(guī)劃總建筑面積63萬平方米,首期建筑23.4萬平方米,包括公共教學樓群、實驗樓群及行政辦公、圖書館、學生食堂、宿舍等??傮w規(guī)劃以共享、融合、開放為概念,規(guī)劃以“大集中、小分散”為布局原則,因地制宜,順應(yīng)地形,使建筑與自然有機融合。

(3)深圳信息職業(yè)技術(shù)學院第三標段(圖14):總建筑面積291219m2,設(shè)計以提供多元化服務(wù)為概念,將該標段生活區(qū)打造成為一個包羅萬象的微型城市,以高度集中的策略創(chuàng)造性地在有限空間里創(chuàng)建一座高密度、富于變化、豐富多彩的城市性校園。

(4)杭州師范大學倉前校區(qū)學生公寓:總建筑面積16.5萬m2,規(guī)劃設(shè)計突出以師生為本的理念,彰顯節(jié)能型、數(shù)字化、花園式的特點,覆蓋師生生活全過程,全需求,融布局科學、環(huán)境優(yōu)美、功能先進、文化內(nèi)涵豐富為一體的新校區(qū)生活園區(qū)。

此外在中小學校園設(shè)計方面,2009年深大院國際競賽中標獲得深圳外國語學校國際部(圖15)全過程設(shè)計權(quán),于2012年建成并投入使用,創(chuàng)作以高密度條件下的校園空間和適應(yīng)新教育模式的教學單元及單元組群為核心,進行了一系列的探索和實踐。

四 (2015年-至今)以新型大學校園和高容高密的深圳中小學校園建設(shè)為主體的教育建筑創(chuàng)作多元期

近幾年,深大院相繼完成了深圳大學校園部分建筑單體,如南校區(qū)設(shè)計教學樓(圖16),信息與理工科實驗樓(圖17),深大西麗校區(qū)二期工程,深大藝術(shù)綜合樓、深大吳玉章樓(圖18)、深大齋區(qū)宿舍(圖19)、深大校友廣場(圖19)、深大建規(guī)學院教學實驗樓擴建(圖20)等一批新的校園建筑。除此之外,在大學校園國際競賽中獲得三所大學校園規(guī)劃和建筑單體設(shè)計。

(1)深圳北理莫斯科大學整體規(guī)劃與建筑設(shè)計(圖21):規(guī)劃用地面積33.37公頃,建筑面積30萬m2,目前已建成并投入使用;校園規(guī)劃注重順勢造園,與周邊環(huán)境結(jié)合,順應(yīng)地形、環(huán)境景觀之“勢”形成基本規(guī)則布局。

(2)深圳技術(shù)大學校園規(guī)劃與建筑設(shè)計(圖22):規(guī)劃用地面積60公頃,建筑面積96.8萬m2,目前已建成并投入使用;規(guī)劃結(jié)合當代高等教育教學科研新模式,設(shè)計提出“空中大學”的解決方案——向空中發(fā)展空間,形成立體化的校園空間體系。

(3)汕尾理工大學校園規(guī)劃與建筑設(shè)計(圖23):規(guī)劃用地面積60公頃,建筑面積37.33萬m2,校園整體規(guī)劃設(shè)計充分體現(xiàn)校園原始地形地貌的自然特質(zhì),突出低沖擊開發(fā)和生態(tài)建設(shè)理念,因地制宜,融合基地周邊及內(nèi)部山-海-河自然景觀特色,創(chuàng)造一個自然與校園相互交融、相互協(xié)調(diào),以濕地生態(tài)景觀系統(tǒng)為基礎(chǔ)的現(xiàn)代化“水上大學”。

此外,在中小學校園設(shè)計方面,深圳面臨中小學學位緊缺的巨大壓力,教育需求激增與土地緊缺之間的矛盾日益激化。在集約用地條件下,深大院積極探討如何以學校設(shè)計為契機,突破各種限制,探索集約土地下高密度校園設(shè)計的創(chuàng)新之路。陸續(xù)中標和建成了一批高容高密下的中小學校園,如深大附屬高中部、深圳前海三小、羅湖外語全寄宿制高中新建工程、南山實驗麒麟中學改擴建、龍華龍瀾九年一貫制學校、光明鳳凰學校、勤誠達學校、龍華冼屋學校、僑安小學、福田天健小學擴建綜合樓、田背工業(yè)區(qū)城市更新單元規(guī)劃學校等。這些學校的設(shè)計為深圳的中小學校園建設(shè)做出了積極意義的探索實踐。

結(jié)語

在新時代背景下,深大院依托深圳大學廣博的學術(shù)科研和教學資源,集設(shè)計、科研、和教學為一體,以多學科的最新科研成果作為支持,走出了一條生產(chǎn)、教學、科研密切結(jié)合的產(chǎn)學研創(chuàng)新之路。深大院立足粵港澳大灣區(qū),歷經(jīng)近四十年的創(chuàng)作實踐,肩負建筑設(shè)計行業(yè)“先行示范”的使命,在校園規(guī)劃與教育建筑創(chuàng)作上主動回應(yīng)城市、環(huán)境與社會發(fā)展關(guān)切的問題,并積極探索和建構(gòu)新型的教育理念和教育建筑設(shè)計方法體系,塑造了一批批校園規(guī)劃和教育建筑典范,為深圳乃至全國的校園建設(shè)發(fā)展貢獻“深大建筑”的創(chuàng)新力量。

Established in 1984,Architectural Design & Research Institute of Shenzhen University Co.,Ltd.(SZUADRI for short) owns Grade A qualification in both architecture and planning.SZUADRI has two branch offices in Shanghai and Xi'an,and Shendayuan Architectural Technology Research Co.,Ltd.as subordinate enterprise.Insisting on independent innovation,SZUADRI strives to build a prestigious design institute.With a complete scientific management system and strict quality guarantee system,it has won the titles of Top 10 Enterprises in Shenzhen Industrial Architectural Planning and National Advanced Enterprise in Technological Innovation of Construction Industry.Moreover,in 2012,SZUADRI was rated as one of the "Top 100 Famous Institutes of Architectural Design in Contemporary China" by the Architectural Society of China.

Over the 37 years since its establishment,SZUADRI,developing with Shenzhen and Shenzhen University,has grown from a design studio consisted of only a dozen people to a large-scale A level comprehensive design institute with several national famous experts and scholars,which employs more than 400 professional technicians and managers.Completed by SZUADRI,those thousands of projects have covered various public cultural buildings,educational buildings,office buildings,commercial buildings and urban complexes,industrial headquarter parks,medical pension buildings,sports buildings,transportation hub buildings and residential areas.The works of SZUADRI have won nearly 1,000 outstanding design and science and technology awards at the national,ministerial,provincial and municipal levels,of which are the National Excellent Engineering Design Award,Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Award of Ministry of Construction,Architectural Creation Award of the Architectural Society of China,Gold Award of National Excellent Structural Design,First Prize of China Award for Science and Technology in Construction,Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize,Gold and Silver Award of Cross-Strait Architecture,First Prize of Provincial and Municipal Excellent Engineering,etc.

Having explored and practiced for nearly 40 years in campus planning and educational building design that has become a critical business section,SZUADRI has completed batches of excellent projects of campus construction in Shenzhen and the whole country,based on which it has also formed a set of theoretical and methodological system on educational building creation.There are roughly four periods in the development of educational building creation practice.In the creation circumstance of different periods,however,SZUADRI has always shown its distinctive features in campus planning and educational buildings as well as its style of innovation and breaking stereotypes in the campus and urban environment,campus layout,functional space,structural system and architectural form.

I.The formation period of educational building creation mainly about the basic planning and initial construction of Shenzhen University(1984-1994)

First campus construction undertaken and completed by SZUADRI was the master plan and architectural design of Shenzhen University campus(Figure 1),of which the total planned area was about 1 square kilometer,and the covered area was 220,000 m2.For Shenzhen University,located in the special zone seeing the tide of Reform and Opening-up,it was a priority that how to establish a new type university meeting the development needs of the special zone and society after the tide.A pretty advanced design concept was put forward by SZUADRI in its planning,which is to break the separated discipline system building a compact public teaching area with teaching,scientific research office,and experiment area,as well as library and hall as the main body.Abandoning the traditional symmetrical layout mode,this plan makes the best of the complex terrain of the campus,which adapted to local conditions to establish the group of the teaching center area buildings facing the mountains and the sea (now the north hall of library,office building and teaching building group) leading the whole campus layout.Wenshan Lake,Azalea Mountain and Litchi Grove were also created in the planning on the original terrain of lakes,gullies and litchi forests,to create unique campus space features.Besides,containing the full openness concept of coordinating with the city with no wall for the campus,and the ecological concept of retaining large litchi forests and various trees,it was that planning practice following the organic ecology of integrating campus and nature that was unique among the designs of Chinese university campus in the 1980s.

A number of classic educational building units emerged first in this period,such as:(1) North Hall of Shenzhen University Library (Figure 2):Located at the northern node of the campus' key axis,the hall was designed with corridors connecting to the office building and teaching building,a platform at the second floor for viewing,gathering and resting,an atrium space and suspended stairs with an appropriate scale,open reading rooms and study rooms,strip windows with the sense of rhyme and facades protruding from the wall.Both the external styling and internal functions of the hall give a great reference for modern library design.(2) Performance Center (Figure 2):In the design,SZUADRI strived to preserve the characteristics of the environment and site.Combining the climatic conditions of the South of the Five Ridges,in the concept of simplicity and nature,SZUADRI adapted to local conditions and made the best use of the circumstances.By breaking the inherent closure and sense of authority of the hall and highlighting the popular and democratic temperament,SZUADRI created a transparent,open,vibrant,friendly and natural shared place,which is still forwardlooking today.(3) Classroom buildings of Shenzhen University (Figure 2):According to the characteristics of the topography that is high in north and low in south,the classroom building is formed by three square-shaped planes.Each square-shaped plane built on silts creates a stagger yard.The spatial structure of connection and penetration is combined,and the squares of different styles are looming.People walk through them and can enjoy different scenes.(4) Yuanping Gymnasium,Student Activity Center and other cultural and sports facilities also show Shenzhen regional characteristics in environmental interaction,internal and external space and open image.

II.Creative development period of educational buildings based on the newly expanded single campus of Shenzhen University and the Shenzhen local primary and secondary school campuses (1995-2005).

From the end of the 1990s to the beginning of the 21st century,with the development of China's education industrialization and the goals of higher education planning and exhibition,the resources of colleges and universities have expanded rapidly.The enrolment of Shenzhen University has increased fivefold,and the campus construction needs to be expanded and improved urgently.On the basis of the continuation of the campus planning and layout in the 1980s,SZUADRI has built and expanded the campus,and successively completed a number of new individual buildings,such as (1) Shenzhen University Library Phase II (Figure 3).While strengthening the spatial order of the campus,the binary code is translated into environmental elements to achieve self-similarity in the form and spatial composition of the new and old libraries.(2) As the commanding height of the whole campus,Shenzhen University Science and Technology Building (SUSTB)(Figure 4) is a self-contained and all-directional homogeneous volume model that establishes a close relation with surrounding buildings in all directions.(3) School of Architecture and Urban Planning Complex of Shenzhen University (Figure 5)creates a pure,static and transcendental architectural space,creating a place experience that is internally connected with the campus spirit.(4) The Classroom and Laboratory Building of Shenzhen Normal University (Figure 6) emphasizes the mutual penetration of the interior and exterior spaces of the building.Through the high-height atrium and empty courtyards inside the building,the flowing spaces of different elevations are connected in the vertical direction,and combined with the design of the climate at the South of the Five Ridges area strategies to form a green and open space system.

In addition,during this period,they also began to actively participate in the construction of university campuses in other places.For example,the Songshan Lake campus library of Dongguan University of Technology was completed (Figure 7).The covered area is 24,700 m2.The design is based on the concept of echoing the elements of the base and strengthening the campus planning order.The simple parallelogram shape cuts the site into three public spaces that echo the entrance,water body and auditorium,further strengthens the centrality of the planning axis and the central square,and integrates into the campus with a humble attitude.The campus planning and individual building of the Science and Education Center of Guangxi University of Technology (Figure 8) are pure and simple,neat and regular,with local cultural elements implanted.

In addition,during this period,SZUADRI participated in the design of Shenzhen’s local primary and secondary school campuses,such as the Shenzhen Middle School Science Museum,the expansion of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School,the Primary School of Shenzhen Experimental School,and Futian Foreign Languages School (Jinglong Middle School) (Figure 9).The series of classic cases of primary and secondary school campuses not only respond to the urban environmental problems in Shenzhen,but also actively explore the spatial characteristics of primary and secondary school campuses.SZUADRI strives to build a teaching space model that conforms to the educational concept and to create a model that conforms to the climate characteristics of the southern region of Shenzhen.A flexible,changeable,transparent,open,and green shared campus space system will strive to be established.

III.Creation development of educational buildings with Shenzhen university campus development as the main body (2005-2015)

At the beginning of the 21st century,Shenzhen Municipal Government has increased the introduction and investment in college construction.Shenzhen Bureau Public Works of Shenzhen Municipality and Planning and Natural Resources Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality have successively held a number of tender contests for college campuses,and SZUADRI has won several tenders in succession.

(1) In 2008,SZUADRI won a tender for the campus planning and individual building design of Xili Campus of Shenzhen University (Figure 10),with a total planned land area of 138 hectares and a total covered area of 730,000 m2.At present,Phase I of 280,000 m2has been completed and put into use,and Phase II of 430,000 m2is still under construction.The planning and design strive to make the campus into a paradigm of sustainable development in Shenzhen,so as to create an eco-campus full of natural vitality and humanistic poetry.

At the same time,SZUADRI also completed some high-quality works on the main campus,such as the Student Apartment building of South Campus (Figure 11) and Shenzhen University Art Village (Figure 12).

(2) Phase I individual building of Southern University of Science and Technology of China (Figure 13):The campus covers a total area of 198 hectares,with a planned total covered area of 630,000 m2.Phase I building of 234,000 m2,including public teaching buildings,laboratory buildings,administration buildings,library,student canteens,dormitories,etc.The overall planning takes sharing,integration and opening up as concepts,taking "large concentration and small dispersion" as layout principles,It should adjust measures to local conditions and comply with the terrain to organically integrate architecture with nature.

(3) The third bid section of Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (Figure 14):With a total covered area of 291,219 m2,the design takes diversified services as its concept and makes the living area of the bid section into an all-inclusive extra small city.The design creatively founds a high-density,varied and colorful urban campus in a limited space with a highly centralized strategy.

(4) Student Dormitory of Cangqian Campus of Hangzhou Normal University:With a total covered area of 165,000 m2,the planning and design highlights the concept of teacher-student-oriented,featuring energy-saving,digitalization and garden-style.It will cover the whole process and demands of teachers and students and integrate scientific layout,beautiful environment,advanced functions and rich cultural connotations.

In addition,in the campus design of primary and secondary schools,International Competition of SZUADRI won the tender and the design right of the whole process in Shenzhen Foreign Languages School International Department in 2009 (Figure 15),which was completed and put into use in 2012.It focused on the campus space under high-density conditions and teaching units and unit groups adapted to new education model,carrying out a series of explorations and practices.

IV.Multivariate period of educational building creation with new university campuses and the Shenzhen primary and secondary school construction of high-capacity and high-density as the main body (2015-now)

In recent years,SZUADRI has successively completed some individual buildings on the Shenzhen University,such as South Campus Design Classroom Building(Figure 16),Information and Science and Engineering Laboratory Building (Figure 17),Shenzhen University Xili Campus Phase II Project,Shenzhen University Art Multifunctional Building (Figure 18),Shenzhen University Zhai District Dormitory(Figure 19),Shenzhen University Alumni Square (Figure 19),Shenzhen University Wu Yuzhang Building,and Shenzhen University Lecture and Laboratory Building Expansion of Urban and Regional Planning College (Figure 20).In addition,SUIADR has won the opportunity to project the landscape and design the individual buildings for three colleges in the international competition on college campus design.

(1) Overall planning and architectural design of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University(Figure 21):The campus,with the planned land area of 33.37 hectares and the covered area of 300,000 m2,has been completed and gone into service;Campus planning focuses on architecture in compliance with the conditions of the surroundings,landform and landscape to basically form the orderly layout.

(2) Campus planning and architectural design of Shenzhen Technology University(Figure 22):The campus,with the planned land area of 60 hectares and the covered area of 968,000 m2,has been completed and gone into service; By combining with the new mode of teaching and research in contemporary higher education,the solution "university in the air" has been put forward to expand the space upward in the air so as to endow the college campus with the multipledimensional space system.

(3) Campus planning and architectural design of Shanwei University of Technology(Figure 23):The campus has the planned land area of 60 hectares and the covered area of 373,300 m2.Its overall planning and design fully feature the primitive natural terrain and landscape of the campus.The philosophy of low impact development and environmental protection is stressed.Planning and designing according to local conditions is also advocated.By integrating with the scene surrounding the campus and interior natural landscape features like mountains,oceans and lakes,a modern "university over the water" is constructed characterized by the nature in harmony with the campus and based on the wetland ecological landscape system.

In addition,in the aspect of the design of primary and secondary campuses,great pressure from the shortage of spaces for primary and secondary schools exists in Shenzhen,leading to intensifying contradictions between the surge in education demand and the shortage of land.Under the condition of land used in an intensive manner,SZUADRI actively probes into the way to break through all limitations by virtue of the school design so as to search for the innovation in high density campus design under the condition of land intensively used.SZUADRI has been the bid winner of and built a batch of primary and secondary schools with high capacity and density,including senior high school affiliated to Shenzhen University,Shenzhen Qianhai No.3 Primary School,new project of Luohu Foreign Language All-boarding High School,reconstruction and expansion of Nanshan Experimental Qilin Middle School,Longhua Longlan 9-year School,Guangming Phoenix School,Qinchengda School,Longhua Xian Wu School,Qiaoan Primary School,expansion of the complex building of Futian Tianjian Primary School,Urban Renewal Unit Planning School in Tianbei Industrial Zone.The creation of these schools has made a great significance in exploration and practice for the construction of primary and secondary campus in Shenzhen.

Conclusion

Against the background of the new era,backed by the extensive academic research and teaching resources of Shenzhen University,as well as latest scientific research achievements of multiple disciplines,SZUADRI integrates with design,scientific research and teaching,and has found an innovative approach that production,education and scientific research are closely combined.Over nearly forty years of creative practice,focusing on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,with the mission of pilot demonstration in architectural design,SZUADRI positively responds to the problems concerned by the urban,environmental and social development in educational building creation.It has also actively explored and constructed the new educational concept and educational architecture design methodology system.From that,many examples are shaped in campus projecting and educational building designing,making an innovative significance featuring the"Shenzhen architecture" to the development of campus construction in Shenzhen and even througout the country.
