The prosperity monitoring results of the China Commercial Circulation Association of Textile and Apparel （CATA） show that from February to March 2021， the national textile and apparel specialized market managers prosperity index was 53.12， an increase of 4.03 percentage points from Januarys 49.09； the specialized market merchants prosperity index was 52.84， an increase of 3.25 percentage points from Januarys 49.09. From February to March， the textile and apparel specialized market entered the sales season in the first half of the year， and the prosperity index rebounded significantly.

Prosperity index of managers and merchants rebounded

The data shows that from February to March， the prosperity indexes of the national textile and apparel specialized market managers and merchants rebounded significantly compared with January.

Data analysis

The total market operation and logistics shipment index increased

From February to March， the proportion of total selected market operations increased by 51.61 percent， an increase of 32.26 percentage points from 19.35 percent in January； the proportion of selected market logistics shipments increased by 45.16 percent， an increase of 22.58 percentage points from 22.58 percent in January. The total market operation index and the logistics shipment index both showed a significant upward trend. It can be seen that with the end of the Spring Festival holiday and the launch of spring clothing， the textile and apparel specialized markets have entered the sales season of the first half of the year.

The merchants sales and profit index rose

From February to March， the percentage of total sales of selected merchants increased by 60.14 percent， an increase of 53.15 percentage points from 6.99 percent in January； the percentage of profit increased by selected merchants was 58.74 percent， an increase of 51.75 percentage points from 6.99 percent in January. Both the total sales index and profit index of merchants showed a clear upward trend， which showed that the spring clothing sales of merchants were in good condition.

The overall prediction index is above the threshold of 50

The data shows that in terms of managers index， the next managers prosperity index is 54.84， an increase of 5.16 percentage points from 49.68 in January； the next operating environment index is 55.16， an increase of 5.16 percentage points from 50.00 in January. In terms of merchants index， the next merchants prosperity index is 55.59， an increase of 6.22 percentage points from 49.37 in January； the next operating environment index is 55.59， an increase of 6.22 percentage points from 49.37 in January. In terms of the predictive index， the four predictive indexes of managers and merchants have returned to be above the threshold of 50， which shows that specialized market managers and merchants continue to be optimistic about spring clothing sales.
