Tibet receives 40 million tourists in 2019

More than 40 million tourists from home and abroad visited southwest Chinas Tibet Autonomous Region in 2019， up 19 percent year on year， according to local authorities1. In 2019， tourism revenue rose to 56 billion yuan.

Wushu to make its Youth Olympics debut5 as official sport in Dakar 2022

After appearing as special exhibition events at both the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games， Wushu， widely known as Chinese Kungfu， will make its debut as an official sport at the 2022 Dakar Youth Olympic Games. It is the first time that Wushu will be officially included in Olympic competition. It means 48 athletes from all over the world will join in four events： mens and womens Changquan and mens and womens Taijiquan.

With a long history and deep roots in the countrys cultural and spiritual traditions， Chinese traditional Wushu unites the body and spirit. China wishes to share these qualities with the world.

Two giant pandas born in Belgium win “Panda Cub of the Year” Gold Award

Bao Di and Bao Mei， the two giant pandas born last year in the Belgian Zoo of Pairi Daiza， won the“Panda Cub of the Year” Gold Award. The ceremony of 2019 Giant Panda Global Awards was held in Pairi Daiza. It was organized by the Giant Panda Global website.

“For the past 10 years， I have been going to China every year to see the pandas in their hometown. Its always nice to see how happy they are in Sichuan” and the joys theyve brought to people around the world， Jeroen Jacobs of Giant Panda Global said.
