郵差說，看起來要下雪啦。農(nóng)夫說，聞起來要下雪啦。就連兔子們也有預感，它們正踏著干枯的落葉堆匆匆趕回溫暖的洞穴。孩子們一直抬頭觀望天空，等待第一片雪花的飄落。誰知，它竟然悄悄地來了！街道白了，房子白了，草地和人行道也白了……第二天，準是晴朗的好天氣！孩子們，一起到雪地上來，堆雪人，打雪仗，建造冰雪城堡，盡情地加入這屬于冬天的狂歡吧！

The postman said it looked like snow，

The farmer said it smelled like snow.

Even the rabbits knew it，and scurried around in the deadleaves.

While the children watchedthe low grey sky， waiting for thefirst snowflake to fall.

Then， just when no onewas looking， it came.

One flake， two flakes，five， eight， ten， and suddenlythe air was filled with softpowdery snowflakes ...

The postman put on his rubbers.

The farmer went to the barn for a snow shovel.

But the children laughedand danced， trying to catchthe lacy snowflakes on theirtongues.

While the rabbits hidin their warm burrows underthe ground.

Faster and faster came the tiny snowflakes， and the browrearth turned white.

The postman slipped and fell into a snow bank.

The farmer dug a path from his house to the barn.

Then without a sound， just when everybody was asleep， thesnow stopped， and bright stars filled the night.

In the morning a clear blue sky was overhead ...

The children made asnowman， a snow house， asnow fort， and then had asnowball fight.

Each day the sun grewstronger， and the snow melted.

And the childrenwatched for the firstrobin to tell them Springhad really come.
