繪本導(dǎo)讀

很老很老的獾拄著拐杖，戴著眼鏡，圍著綠色的圍巾，坐在老樹墩上。他留戀地看著眼前的一切，然后向月亮道了晚安，坐在書桌前寫信。那是一封留給朋友們的告別信。

獾的去世，讓他的朋友們都很難過。幸好，當(dāng)春天到來時，朋友們開始回憶起獾是如何教會他們一個個本領(lǐng)，讓他們可以從中獲得快樂、滿足，并且相互幫助的。這些美好記憶讓他們開始懂得：分享和傳遞，就是獾留下來的最珍貴的“禮物”。

Badger was dependable， reliable， and?always ready to lend a helping paw.

He was also very old， and he knew?almost everything.

Badger was so old that he knew he?must soon die.

His only worry was?how his friends would feel?when he was gone.

Badger had told?them that someday soon?he would be going down?the Long Tunnel.

He had hissupper and then sat?down at his desk to?write a letter.

When he had?finished， he settled?down in his rocking?chair near the fire.

Soon he was fast asleep?having a strange yet wonderful?dream.

He was running. Ahead?of him was a very long tunnel.?He felt free.

The following day， he hadnt come out to say good morning as he always did.

Fox broke the sad news that Badger was dead and read Badgers note. It?said simply，“Gone down the Long Tunnel. Bye Bye， Badger.”

All the animals?had loved Badger， and?everyone was very sad.

Badger had told?them not to be unhappy，?but it was hard not to be.

As spring drew near， the animals often visited each other and?talked about the days when Badger was alive.

Mole was good at using scissors.

He told about the time Badger had taught him how to cut out a chain of moles.?Mole remembered the joy hed felt when he had finally succeeded.

Frog was an excellent skater.

He recalled how Badger had?helped him take his first slippery?steps on the ice.

Fox remembered how he?could never knot his tie?properly until Badger showed?him how.

Badger had given Mrs?Rabbit his special recipe?for gingerbread and had?shown her how to bake?gingerbread rabbits.

Each of the animals had a special memory of Badgersomething?he had taught them.

He had given them each a parting gift to treasure always.

Using these gifts they would be able to help each other.
