下面要介紹的是一款屏幕能折疊的智能腕表，平時(shí)看上去只有一個(gè)小屏幕，但是，真正的玄機(jī)在機(jī)身里面。根據(jù)不同的使用場景，它可以在一個(gè)屏幕和多個(gè)屏幕之間變換，在完全展開的狀態(tài)下，它可以變成一個(gè)有著超大屏幕的平板電腦！

Many smartwatches are used among primary and secondary school students. They can tell time， let people phone...In June， 2019， IBM in USA patented a smartwatch. Why？ Because it can be used as a smartphone and a tablet！

很多中小學(xué)生在使用智能手表。它們能用來顯示時(shí)間、打電話……2019年6月，美國IBM公司（美國國際商用機(jī)器公司）獲得了一種智能手表專利。為什么？因?yàn)樗梢杂米髦悄苁謾C(jī)和平板電腦！

The wearable device has a total of eight unfolding displays. Each display is 2×3 inches. In the standard configuration2， the smartwatch uses only one of these displays. The rest are stored in a small compartment inside the device. If the user wants a larger screen size， he or she can slide parts out of the housing to give an extra wide display.

這款可佩戴設(shè)備共有8個(gè)展開顯示屏，每個(gè)顯示屏的尺寸是2×3英寸。在標(biāo)準(zhǔn)外形中，智能手表只使用其中一個(gè)顯示屏，其余的在設(shè)備內(nèi)部的一個(gè)小隔間里。如果用戶想要更大的屏幕尺寸，可以將部件滑出機(jī)殼得到更寬的顯示屏幕。

IBM originally filed the patent in 2016 under the name “variable display size for an electronic display device”. The patent was approved on June 11， 2019 and published in the USPTO （United States Patent and Trademark Office） database. When all 8 display parts are extended， the phone switches to tablet mode. And two hands are needed to operate it. The display seams look very small， so that the content can be displayed continuously.

IBM公司最初在2016年以“可變顯示尺寸的電子顯示設(shè)備”的名義申請了這項(xiàng)專利。該專利于2019年6月11日獲得批準(zhǔn)，并發(fā)布在美國專利商標(biāo)局（USPTO）的數(shù)據(jù)庫中。當(dāng)全部8個(gè)顯示部件都展開后，手機(jī)切換到平板模式，并且需要雙手操作。顯示屏的接縫看起來很小，因此內(nèi)容可以連續(xù)顯示。
