Research on the Application of Humanism in College English Teaching

摘 要:In view of its application in college English teaching, this paper puts forward some corresponding application points and precautions, in order to provide a reliable reference for further improving the English teaching level in colleges and universities in China.

I. Overview of humanism

Humanism is a kind of action ideology in the 14th-16th century European Renaissance. The ideology emphasizes the concern for human personality, that is, advocates the dignity of human beings against violence and discrimination, and advocates freedom and equality and self-worth. .

(1) Application principles

In order to speed up the integration of English teaching and humanism in colleges and universities, and to cultivate the overall quality and humanistic spirit of college students, relevant teachers must follow the following principles to infiltrate the concept of humanism: First, we must ensure the content of English textbooks and the actual situation of contemporary college students.
