Zhao Yings works in ballet theme focused on the vividness of the visual images rather than other popular modern themes. Zhao Ying captured the passionate moment and sexy gestures of ballet dancers， and reproduced them in his oil paintings， adding a depiction about stage plot and a touch of symbolic meaning.

Zhao Ying was famous for his paintings of beautiful women， especially beautiful city ladies. In his works， he revealed the life of modern city women and their relationship with the world surrounding them. In fact， many of his works showed a lasting attention to the modern spirit. His works often bear a sense of straightforwardness， and usually were bright and full of happiness， which echoed with Zhaos character. His works came from his pursuit of primitive beauty and eventually became his characteristic practices of mind and heart.

在當今這個多元的時代，趙鷹覺得追求視覺形象的生動真實或許比玩世、戲擬、反諷、對抗、圖說的主題情節(jié)更為重要。他選擇芭蕾舞臺，通過捕捉練功房里演員瞬間的姿態(tài)，遵循既成的善與美，創(chuàng)作出激情、性感的芭蕾舞者群象；手法時尚而本真，很享受地把芭蕾舞者的精神實相重新復現(xiàn)在一種陰柔可愛但卻激情絢爛的光輝之中。毋庸諱言，趙鷹熱衷的芭蕾舞主題繪畫創(chuàng)作的藝術靈感，源于用芭蕾舞者心態(tài)演繹時代主題內容的藝術天賦。他的油畫作品不僅注重舞臺情節(jié)的描述、主題內涵的表達和象征寓意的挖掘，而且還探索對于表現(xiàn)對象本身視覺真實性的生動展現(xiàn)。

從《足尖·精靈》《足尖·斑斕》《足尖·爵士帽》《足尖·糾葛》和《足尖·疲》等作品最基本的創(chuàng)作動機中，可以讀出趙鷹對舞臺人生的真切感悟和珍惜，以及對生命的熱愛。作為一名男性畫家，趙鷹用映照內心的抒情語言，出于一種好玩之性，以描繪各種女性姿態(tài)、明朗的女性世界內在結構關系為統(tǒng)攝，縷析出都市麗人生態(tài)圈的主題輪廓和基本脈絡，從而把偶然、美好、神奇的人性變奏與不連貫的人生游戲推至美學領域，幾乎到了唯美的邊緣。這足以表明在當代油畫藝術界，趙鷹是一位不倦的探索者。實際上，趙鷹的諸多作品都充斥著對現(xiàn)代精神的持久關注，因而吸引了收藏家們的廣泛關注。在他的繪畫創(chuàng)作過程中經常表現(xiàn)出一種直率性，使很多觀者不由自主地產生收藏的欲望。不難發(fā)現(xiàn)，趙鷹喜歡表現(xiàn)女性世界的陰柔之美，他的油畫以善于描繪美女形象著稱。在人物的形色處理方面，他追求一種速寫式的審美快感，表現(xiàn)美女柔美鮮活的神情與動作。趙鷹的作品畫面油色非常薄透，形色也盡量減少反復塑造，灑脫暢快的筆性特征被充分調動出來，在形色的塑造中顯現(xiàn)出心性直抒的隨意與靈動。這種速寫式的油畫語言跟他追求現(xiàn)場的形象張力融為一體，是他所追求的原生態(tài)美感的體現(xiàn)。盡管這種“心靈在場”的速寫式油畫語言還有待進一步提煉與升華，現(xiàn)場的原生再現(xiàn)尚可處理得更精微與深入，但趙鷹對原生態(tài)美感的審美追求，的確在當下過度修飾、過度設計的藝術創(chuàng)作中起到某種糾偏作用。畢竟他找到了表現(xiàn)真實的良途，而且這種創(chuàng)作經驗又是如此能夠揭示陰柔之美的真實狀態(tài)。

在趙鷹舞臺人生題材的作品里，并沒有圖說事件、情節(jié)、主題，而是從形象塑造的本體出發(fā)，讓形象的真實生動替代情節(jié)性的描述。他的關注點在于捕捉芭蕾舞者自身在隨機與偶然中呈現(xiàn)出來的生命本真狀態(tài)。在這些油畫作品中，能讀到趙鷹油畫創(chuàng)作的審美宗旨，即始終沒有拋棄對造型的準確性、構圖的嚴謹性、色調的和諧性的刻意追求。除此之外，他有時候也任憑形式、色彩、筆觸、空間從繪畫主題中自由生發(fā)，進入真正的自由創(chuàng)作狀態(tài)?；蛘吒_切地說，這時候他的舞臺人生主題表達退到次要位置，生命本能中的某些原始因素在形式的探索中凸顯出來，其根源在于自我的回歸。這個自我既是精神層面的，也是現(xiàn)實生活層面的，其背后的驅動力是他個人獨特的生命記憶和情感經驗。

在這種文化語境中，趙鷹的藝術表達充斥著抒情、贊美、輕松的審美所指，這很符合他的天性——奔放、開朗、自由、激情并富于想象與理想，崇尚陽光、幸福感，并始終對女性形象秉承一種好奇與好玩的心態(tài)，這也是他的藝術令人印象深刻的原因。顯然，趙鷹對繪畫創(chuàng)作做了一次跨界的實驗性探索，并無以往的任何藝術流派作基礎，全靠獨立而自發(fā)的心性體驗，進行著心靈在場的藝術實踐。
