At ITMA 2019, Truetzschler exhibited various intelligent spinning equipment and advanced technologies, digital solutions and sustainable non-woven production lines.
In spinning preparation, Truetzschler relies on intelligent machine technology and digital networking to improve raw material utilisation and productivity and to achieve consistently high quality. Truetzschler is opening a new chapter in card development: The new intelligent Truetzschler Card TC 19i is the first self-optimizing card worldwide. It automatically and continuously adjusts the optimum carding gap for the respective application with a precision not possible for humans. This allows customers to tap the full potential of carding without worries. New digital monitoring and management systems are also contributing to this: “My Wires” app, for example, enables efficient monitoring of clothings and service intervals – anywhere and at any time. Individual and competent service for reclothing can be provided immediately by Truetzschler Card Clothing divi- sion. With the “smart” networking of machines as well as production and maintenance, Truetzschler realizes considerable added value for our customers.
Truetzschler Nonwovens and Man-Made Fibers also presented sustainable overall concepts tailored to customer needs: In addition to proven, economical systems for hydroentangled nonwovens, Truetzschler develops alternatives for the production of biodegradable wipes from renewable raw materials.
The Truetzschler Card TC 19i: the first intelligent card
A card that thinks for itself - that sounds like science fiction. But now it is reality: The intelligent Truetzschler Card TC19i automatically and permanently optimizes the carding gap, which is soimportant for yarn quality.
Self-optimizing precision with the Gap Optimizer T-GO
For cotton carding, the carding gap between the cylinder and flat clothing should be as small as possible. For many types of cotton, the optimum gap is 3/1000” (0.075mm). For comparison: Not even a sheet of paper fits between the flat and cylinder clothing.
Even an experienced technologist cannot carry out such narrow settings with the “cold” card at standstill. During operation, centrifugal forces and temperate increases influence these settings significantly.
Gap Optimizer T-GO
On the Truetzschler Card TC 19i with the Gap Optimizer T-GO, a basic flat setting is only carried out once by our specialists.
Afterwards, T-GO ensures an ideal carding gap at all times, whether the card is cold or warm, after clothing grinding, even after clothing replacement. Optimization is a permanent, self-optimizing, intelligent process that takes place without any production interruption. This self-optimization responds automatically to changing parameters such as: Material properties, Production level, Cylinder speed, Environmental influences such as room temperature.
Maximum raw material utilization with WASTECONTROL
The key to the profitability of a spinning mill is the maximum utilisation of the raw material. Casually speaking, the fibers should go into the yarn and not into the waste. On the Truetzschler Card TC 19i, an optical sensor monitors the waste in the suction, thus providing the data for WASTECONTROL.
If too many good fibers end up in the waste, the system adjusts the mote knife setting on the WEBFEED via a servomotor.
Permanent quality control with the Nep Sensor NCT
To produce a constant quality you have to know the quality. Random laboratory samples are insufficient for this purpose. Permanent and complete monitoring allows high quality without freak values. The Truetzschler Nep Sensor NCT permanently monitors the web on the doffer. The camera registers and distinguishes neps, trash particles and seed coat fragments.
These data are displayed on the screen of the cards, but are also transmitted to the higher-level system My Mill.
Special cards optimized for special applications
The Truetzschler Card TC 19i is a universally applicable card in the spinning mill. However, for certain applications it can extract even more from the raw material through small modifications.
Multitouch screen
The screen is the interface between the operator and the machine. Operation is as intuitive as using a Smartphone.
The people simply identify themselves via an RFID chip. This lets the machine know which person with which authorizations is involved.
Portal Bale Opener BO-P
The Portal Bale Opener BO-P sets new standards in quality and economy.
Better blending from the start
The work-off width is 2.9 m or 3.5 m. This makes it possible to place considerably more bales next to each other. And because at Truetzschler two opening rolls work in parallel, tufts from 8 to 14 bales (depending on bale size) are processed simultaneously.
No other bale opener can even come close to such blending right from the start.
Increased opening and higher performance
Due to the large working width and the simultaneous use of two opening rolls, small tufts are already produced during the first process in the spinning mill. This is impossible for systems with one roll and a smaller working width. Due to the large working width, productions of up to 2,500 kg/h are no problem at all for the Portal Bale Opener BO-P.
Less space requirement and better accessibility
The bale lay-down can have a maximum length of 60 cm. With a working width of 3.5 m, up to 390 bales can be combined to a bale lay-down. An intelligent workplace protection on the BO-P does not require any space-consuming safety areas. The bale work-off couldnt be more compact and space-saving.
