2019 Annual Work Meeting On Civil Aircraft Aluminum Material Upstream And Downstream Cooperation Mechanism Was Convened

In order to accelerate aviation aluminum product R&D, production and application and for the purpose of implementing 2019 key missions of civil aircraft aluminum material upstream and downstream cooperation mechanism, 2019 annual work meeting on civil aircraft aluminum material upstream and downstream cooperation mechanism was convened in Beijing on January, 10, 2019.

During the meeting, Raw Material Industry Division and Equipment Industry Division of MIIT introduced the overall progress made for all work of 2018 Mechanism and the planning for 2019 Mechanism. Military Supplies and Supervision Division of State Administration of Science. Technology and Industry for National Defense introduced special progress made by large aircraft project; representatives from many related enterprises were present and they held discussions on relevant topics. In addition, the certificate awarding ceremony on authorizing 7050 thick plate engineering certificate to Southwest Aluminum from China COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute was also held during the meeting.

Civil aircraft aluminum material cooperation mechanism has developed into a favorable model where upstream and downstream industries cooperate very well and state-owned and private-owned enterprises yield mutual promotion for each other. Many important breakthroughs have been achieved including 7050 full-scale thick plate obtaining installation certificate. This well reflects the improvement of industrial chain level and boosts the aluminum industry transformation from expanding upstream smelting capacity to developing downstream high-grade products. It also is the driving force for non-ferrous metal industry to achieve high-quality development, which setting a good example for new material development.
