Jiangxi Copper, Tongling Nonferrous Metals, Jinchuan Group and Zijin Mining Co-construct Non-ferrous Metal Industry Purchasing Alliance

On Dec., 5, four domestic copper enterprises --- Jiangxi Copper, Tongling Nonferrous Metals, Jinchuan Group and Zijin Mining, officially released the launch of Non-ferrous Metal Industry Purchasing Alliance. Vice general manager of Jiangxi Copper, Mr. Huang Mingjin was elected the first rotating chairman of the alliance.

Alliance members jointly signed Memo of Purchasing Alliance, by which they agree to regularly share related information about materials, equipment and spare parts and supply chain management knowledge. They also agree to share supplier resource, carry out joint reserve mechanism and provide each other with emergency guidance and help so as to enhance voice of market and realize win-win situation.

Joint committee is the decision-making organization of the alliance, and rotating presidency mechanism is adopted (tenure for each is 1 year). The organization has its secretariat that is in charge of specific affairs of the alliance. General Manager of Jiangxi Material equipment department, Mr. Jiang Jianfan, was elected the first secretary general of the secretariat. It is known that the idea of the alliance was brought up by Jiangxi Copper and Zijin Mining in this May. Led by Jiangxi Copper, Tongling Nonferrous and Jinchuan Group were further engaged in the agreement of strengthening purchasing collaboration.
