在甜品區(qū)，他們有一臺冰淇淋機讓你可以自制圣代冰淇淋。聽起來是不錯，不過大多數(shù)餐館不讓客人自己動手肯定是有原因的。 At the dessert bar, they have an ice-cream dispenser where you can make your own sundae. I know that sounds great, but there’s a reason most restaurants don’t let customers operate the soft-serve machines.

老媽喜歡去老麥家常菜的原因是老麥家有個波波池，她希望曼尼可以在那里學(xué)著跟其他同齡人一起玩。One of the reasons Mom likes to go to Corny’s is that they have a ball pit, and she’s hoping Manny will learn to play with other kids his age.

但曼尼通常會把自己埋在一堆球下面，用這個方法來躲開其他孩子，然后一直耗到回家為止。But Manny usually just buries himself in a pile of balls to hide from the other kids and then waits it out until it’s time to go home.

上周四我們?nèi)チ死消溂?，老媽讓曼尼到塑料管道里去玩，這樣他就不能躲在波波池里了。不過曼尼在上面嚇得腳軟了，不敢自己爬下來。Last Thursday we went to Corny’s,and Mom actually made Manny go in the plastic tubes so he couldn’t hide in the ball pit. Manny got freaked out up there, though, and he was too scared to come down on his own.

老媽讓我上去解救曼尼，因為我是家里唯一一個勉強能爬進塑料管道的人。So Mom told me I had to go up there and get him since I was the only one in the family who was small enough to crawl in the tubes.
