2018年年底，中國美術(shù)學(xué)院與舊金山美術(shù)學(xué)院在舊金山聯(lián)合舉辦“哲匠之道：中國美術(shù)學(xué)院舊金山特展”。

特展以舊金山美術(shù)學(xué)院兩個校區(qū)作為一個劇目的兩幕場景，分別呈現(xiàn)“征兆：八個背影”“造化I：山水宣言”“造化Ⅱ：心印宇宙”與“編織：從一到一”“行旅：人的山水化”“繪畫：所視，所繪，所思”兩組三部曲，展示來自中國美術(shù)學(xué)院中國畫、書法、油畫、版畫、裝置、影像、建筑、視覺傳達、虛擬現(xiàn)實等多元學(xué)科40余位藝術(shù)家獨特的藝術(shù)理念，以展現(xiàn)中國美術(shù)學(xué)院的文化坐標、教育理念和藝術(shù)成就。

Toward the end of 2018， China Academy of Art held a special exhibition in San Francisco in partnership with San Francisco Art Institute. The two art institutions established a formal relationship in 1984. Titled “From/To： the Frontier of Chinese Art Education”， the exhibition was held at the historic Chestnut Street campus and newly built Fort Mason campus of SFAI to exhibit some of the top cultural producers in China. This exhibition is a survey of works by CAAs student body that delve into both historical and contemporary Chinese narratives through traditional ink paintings， immersive virtual reality and new media spaces， an array of painting， print， and sculpture works， and large-scale installations. In honor of the 90th anniversary of CAA， the exhibition presents the academys cultural pursuit， education philosophy and art achievement.
