In the afternoon of September 20th， 2018， the parallel forum of the First World Textile Merchandising Conference themed on “Openness ·New Linkage” was held in Keqiao District， Shaoxing City， China. Over 200 representatives in the textile and garment industries from countries like Vietnam， Indonesia， Malaysia， Burma， Laos， Cambodia， Egypt， Turkey， Kyrgyzstan and Canada as well as representatives from the national textile and garment industry participated in the forum.

On this forum， China Textile Information Center， Vietnam Textile and Garment Association， Cambodia Garment Manufacturers Association， Laos Textile Industry Association， Malaysia Textile Manufacturers Association and Burma Garment Manufacturers Association jointly sponsored and signed the manifesto of founding China ？ ASEAN Textile & Garment Productivity Promotion Alliance.

The alliance aimed at promoting prosperous， healthy and orderly development of textile and garment industries in China and ASEAN members， propelling China and ASEAN members to realize mutual benefit and reciprocity in the textile and garment field， attempting to create China ？ ASEAN region into a world textile and garment production and consumption region with the greatest vigor， and realizing the economic prosperity and development balance goals of the whole China ？ ASEAN region. In the future， it will be dedicated to promoting development of textile and garment enterprises in China and ASEAN members and trans-regional and trans-national cooperation and communication.

At the end of the forum， the guests discussed about the relationship between future textile and garment industry and urban development from the angles of international development and industrial linkage， thus indicating the idea regarding the industrial development direction for guests participating in the conference.
