每次老媽試圖讓曼尼單獨(dú)跟別的孩子相處時(shí)，都會(huì)出事。And whenever Mom tries to get Manny to play with other kids on his own,it backrires.

我們的教會(huì)有項(xiàng)新安排，就是在做禮拜的時(shí)候，大家都把孩子送到地下室去做游戲和填色。不過(guò)老媽第一次把曼尼留在地下室的時(shí)候，兒童區(qū)里只有一個(gè)孩子，而那個(gè)孩子跟曼尼說(shuō)自己是吸血鬼。At our chyurch they have this new thing where they send all the little kids down to the basement during the service so they can play and color.But the first time Mom dropped Manny off downstairs,there was only one other kid in the play area,and he told Manny he was a vampire.

我有點(diǎn)為曼尼難過(guò)，因?yàn)槲以谒莻€(gè)年紀(jì)的時(shí)候也遇到過(guò)一個(gè)愛(ài)嚇人的小孩。我上托兒所的時(shí)候，有個(gè)叫布萊德利的男孩一有機(jī)會(huì)就嚇我。I felt a little bad for Manny because I had to deal with a scary kid when I was his age,too.I was stuck in preschool with this boy named Bradley who terrorized me every chance he got.

我每天放學(xué)回家都跟老媽講布萊德利，還說(shuō)我再也不要上學(xué)了。不過(guò)那年夏天布萊德利全家搬走了，所以問(wèn)題就這么解決了。I told Mom about Bradley every day when I came home,and said I didn’t want to go to school anymore.But that summer Bradley and his family moved away,so the problem took care of itself.

布萊德利搬走后，老媽寫了《惡童布萊德利》，講的是一個(gè)不懂規(guī)矩的小孩。如果說(shuō)布萊德利在現(xiàn)實(shí)中是個(gè)壞孩子，那么在老媽的版本里，他簡(jiǎn)直就是邪惡的化身。After Bradley moved,Mom wrote a story called “Bad Bradley”,about a kid who always misbehaves.Bradley was a bad kid in real life,but in Mom’s version he was pretty much the devil.

老媽好像打算去投稿，不過(guò)第二年春天，布萊德利一家又搬回來(lái)了，所以老媽只好作罷。I think Mom was actually gonna try and get her story published,but Bradley and his family moved back into our neighborhood the next spring,so she had to scrap it.
