后來，老爸把他上班用的東西從房間里搬走了，將原來辦公的房間變成了育嬰室。我睡上了羅德里克的兒童床，而他則有了張新床。Eventually， Dad moved his work stuff out of the room he was using as an office and made it into a nursery. I got Rodricks old crib and he got a new bed.

那時候，我?guī)缀跛械臇|西都是羅德里克傳下來的二手貨。Almost EVERYTHING I had back in those days was a hand-me-down from Rodrick.

等它們到我手里的時候，基本上不是缺胳膊少腿，就是沾滿了口水。By the time something came to me， it was either worn-out or covered in slobber.

連我的奶嘴都是羅德里克用過的。我估計那時候他還沒戒掉這個癮，這大概就是為什么他一直不怎么喜歡我的原因。Even my PACIFIER was a hand-me-down from Rodrick. I dont think he was ready to give it up， though， which might explain why hes never really liked me.

很長一段時間都是我們四個人一起生活，直到有一天老媽跟我說她要再生一個。幸虧她提前跟我打了招呼，這樣我就可以早做準(zhǔn)備了。It was just the four of us for a long time， and then one day Mom told me she was gonna have another baby. I was glad she gave me the heads-up so I could be ready.

弟弟曼尼出生后，大家都說他長得可愛。不過大家從不告訴你，嬰兒出生后，臍帶結(jié)扎的地方會有個黑色的痂。When my little brother， Manny， came along， everybody thought he was so cute. But what they dont tell you about babies is that after theyre born， they have this black stub on their belly button where the umbilical cord was tied off.

最終，這個痂會干癟脫落，然后寶寶才會有個正常的肚臍眼。問題是，沒人見過曼尼掉下來的痂。所以直到今天我都疑神疑鬼，唯恐那個痂會在什么地方突然出現(xiàn)。Eventually， the stub dries up and falls off， and the baby has a regular-looking belly button. The thing is， nobody ever FOUND Mannys stub. And to this day Im still paranoid its gonna show up somewhere.
