Carl is a chameleon. He can change colors. When he is in grass，his skin turns green. When he is beside the red leaves on the tree，his skin turns red.

Other animals admire him，but he is sad. He doesnt like changing colors all the time. He would rather have his own color.

One day，Carl met a fairy，F(xiàn)lora.

“Dear Flora，I want to have my own color. Can you help me?” asked Carl.

“I made some dye. Let me brush it on your body，” said Flora.

Flora brushed the dye onto Carls body. Carl became colorful. “I have my own color now. A very special color. Thank you，F(xiàn)lora，” cried Carl.

Carl climbed in the grass. A snake spotted him and was about to attack him. Carl ran away.

Carl climbed a tree. An eagle spotted him. It swooped down towards him and was about to grab him. Carl ran so fast，he was out of breath!

Carl quickly climbed a tree and hid under the leaves. He turned red，the same color as the leaves. The snake and the eagle couldnt find him. He was safe.

Now Carl is happy to change colors. He is happy to be himself again.
