June 18， 2018 （Xinhua） -- An estimated 869，000 Chinese tourists visited various destinations in Thailand in May， up 14 percent from the same period last year， according to the Tourism and Sports Ministry of Thailand. Of the total of 136.71 billion baht （US$ 4.35 billion） generated in Thailand during the visits by foreign tourists in May， some 46.61 billion baht （US$ 1.48 billion） were spent by Chinese tourists， up 19 percent year-on-year.
