The UFI General Assembly， having taken place in the run-up to the 85th UFI Global Congress in St. Petersburg， Russia， highlighted an array of new initiatives supporting UFIs 780 members in 86 countries. Global membership has grown by 5% since the last general assembly.

One of the milestones reached is the fact， that there are now more than 1，000 "UFI Approved Events" in 75 countries. This certification is a globally recognised standard of quality， as all the shows that carry it are audited.

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau （TCEB） has designed new support scheme “ASEAN+6 Privilege Campaign” to attract trade visitors from 9 ASEAN countries and 6 countries： China， Japan， Korea， India， Australia and New Zealand， to trade shows in Thailand.

In 2017， TCEB-supported trade shows experienced a remarkable 126.24% growth of ASEAN trade visitors， with the strongest rise of 274.52% from Cambodia and 243.09% from the Philippines， while Chinese trade visitors rose by 74.96%. Exhibitors from ASEAN soared by 42.80%， while Chinese exhibitors increased by 47.45%.

2017年，TCEB支持的貿(mào)易展中，東盟貿(mào)易觀眾人數(shù)增長了126.24%，其中柬埔寨和菲律賓分別增長了274.52%和243.09%，中國貿(mào)易觀眾增長了74.96%。另外，東盟參展商增長42.80%，中國參展商增長47.45%。

German exhibition organisers are planning 324 foreign trade fairs in 37 countries next year. The brochure “German Trade Fair Quality Abroad 2019”， published by the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry （AUMA）， provides an overview of these events organised by members of AUMA.

The main region continues to be Southern， Eastern and Central Asia， where 167 events will be taking place， followed by European nonEU countries （58）， the Middle East （24）， Latin America （23）， North America （19）， the EU （18）， Africa （12） and Australia/Oceania （3）.
