Chinese books welcomed at Istanbul book fair

2017年11月4日至12日，第36屆伊斯坦布爾國(guó)際書展在伊斯坦布爾舉行，中國(guó)圖書及其英譯本、土耳其語譯本吸引了人們駐足。自20世紀(jì)80年代以來，這是中國(guó)第五次參加伊斯坦布爾國(guó)際書展，共展出了9個(gè)類別的400多本書。參展書籍涉及科學(xué)、文化、中國(guó)語言和文化、兒童讀物以及國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平的演講和言論等，包括已經(jīng)被翻譯成多國(guó)語言的《習(xí)近平談治國(guó)理政》。中國(guó)代表團(tuán)團(tuán)長(zhǎng)邢躍龍表示，參加書展是“一帶一路”倡議下中國(guó)文化走出去的重要途徑。

As the 36th International Istanbul Book Fair kicked off in Istanbul from November 4th to 12th, Chinese books and books on China in English and Turkish drew the crowds.With China taking part in the book fair for the fifth time since it started in the 1980s, the Chinese stall displayed about 400 books in nine categories. Chinese books ranged from science and literature, the Chinese language and culture, children’s books, and books containing Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speeches and interviews, including Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, which has been translated into various languages.Xing Yuelong, head of the Chinese delegation, said participation in book fairs has become a major avenue for introducing Chinese culture abroad under the Belt and Road Initiative.

由《福布斯》雜志和外聯(lián)出國(guó)顧問集團(tuán)聯(lián)合發(fā)布的一份報(bào)告顯示，中國(guó)已經(jīng)成為規(guī)模不斷增長(zhǎng)的人才庫，并像磁鐵一樣吸引著人才的注入。報(bào)告稱中國(guó)現(xiàn)已成為最大的國(guó)際學(xué)生輸出國(guó)，2016年共有54萬多人出國(guó)留學(xué)。并且，中國(guó)的海外留學(xué)生正在越來越多地選擇留學(xué)后回國(guó)而非在國(guó)外謀求職業(yè)。報(bào)告顯示，2016年約80%的海外留學(xué)生在完成學(xué)業(yè)后回到中國(guó)，而在2008年這一比例僅為34%。

China has become an expanding talent pool and also acts like a magnet for attracting talent, according to a report released recently by Forbes magazine and Wailian Overseas Consulting Group. The report said China is now the world’s largest supplier of international students, with 544,500 people studying abroad last year. Furthermore, Chinese overseas students are increasingly returning home after their studies rather than pursuing careers abroad. The report showed that last year, about 80 percent of overseas students came back to China after completing their studies. In 2008, the percentage was just 34 percent.

中國(guó)將于2018年開始第三階段的5G技術(shù)測(cè)試，在2018年6月出臺(tái)下一代通信技術(shù)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)之前就準(zhǔn)備好試用的5G通信產(chǎn)品。工業(yè)和信息化部通訊發(fā)展司司長(zhǎng)聞庫表示：“技術(shù)測(cè)試的第三階段將確保公司能夠做好試商用的5G電信產(chǎn)品?！?月，5G無線網(wǎng)部分的第二階段測(cè)試已經(jīng)結(jié)束。通信公司達(dá)到了國(guó)際電信聯(lián)盟對(duì)關(guān)鍵性能比如最大網(wǎng)絡(luò)傳輸數(shù)率的要求。

China will start the third phase of 5G technical tests next year, as it aims to getpre-commercial 5G products ready when standards on the next-generation communication technology are expected to come out in June 2018. Wen Ku, director of the telecom development department at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that “the third phase of technical tests is to ensure that companies are capable of making pre-commercial 5G products.” In September, the second phase of tests on the 5G network’s wireless part was finished. Telecom companies have met the key performance requirements set up by the International Telecommunication Union, such as the peak rates of internet speed, Wen said.
