1.The father and the son go to the nearby market to sell a donkey. 父子倆一起趕著驢子，到鄰近的市場(chǎng)上去賣。

2.They meet a few women on the way. One of them says， "How foolish they are！ They don't ride the donkey but walk."在路上遇見幾個(gè)婦女，其中一個(gè)說：“這兩人真愚蠢，放著驢子不騎，卻要走路?！?/p>

3.Hearing that， he asks his son to ride the donkey at once but he himself walks. 老人聽到此話，立刻叫兒子騎上驢，自己在下面走。

4.Soon， they meet some old men.One says， "Look， the lazy boy is riding the donkey but makes the father walk." 一會(huì)兒，又遇到幾個(gè)老頭。其中一個(gè)說：“你們看看，那懶惰的孩子騎在驢上，卻讓年邁的父親在地上走。”

5.The father asks the boy to come down and he rides the donkey.Then they meet a group of women and children.父親便叫兒子下來，自己騎了上去。后來，又遇到一群婦女和孩子。

6.Some shout， "The old man is cruel.How can he ride the donkey but make the son run？" 有幾個(gè)人大喊道：“你這老頭心真狠，自己騎在驢上，怎么能讓孩子在地上跑呢？”

7.The father asks the son to sit behind him. When they are near the market，a man sees them on the same donkey and asks， "Is the donkey yours？" "Yes." says the father. 老人立刻叫兒子坐在他后面?？斓绞袌?chǎng)時(shí)，一個(gè)人看見父子倆騎一頭驢，便問：“這驢是你們自己的嗎？”老人說：“是的?！?/p>

8.The man says， "You will make the donkey tired to death. Now that it's yours， why don't you carry it？" The father says， "We'll follow your advice."那人說：“這樣不把驢累死呀，既然是自己的驢，為什么不抬著驢走呢？”老人說：“不妨照你的意見試一下。”

9.So they both jump off the donkey.They tie the donkey's legs together and with a stick， carry it on the shoulders and walk on. 于是，他和兒子一起跳下驢子，將驢子的腿捆在一起，用一根木棍將驢子抬上肩向前走。

10.At market bridge， many people come around to see and laugh at the father and the son.經(jīng)過市場(chǎng)口的橋時(shí)，很多人圍過來看這種有趣的事，大家都取笑他們父子倆。

11.The noise and what they did make the donkey very unhappy. It struggles out of the rope and the stick and falls into the river. 吵鬧聲和這種奇怪的擺弄使驢子很不高興，它用力掙斷了繩索和棍子，掉到河里去了。

12.The old man is angry and ashamed. He runs home by a path. 老人又氣憤又羞愧，趕忙從小路逃回家去。

感悟：一個(gè)人要有主見，具備判斷是非的能力，才不會(huì)被別人的意見所左右。不要活在別人的輿論中，要靠自己的腳走路，用自己的腦袋思考。
