GUANGZHOU-VANCOUVER-MEXICO CITY SERVICE LAUNCHED
On 10th April, China Southern Airlines launched a new Guangzhou-Vancouver-Mexico City service, which is the first route from the Chinese mainland to Mexico via a Chinese carrier, and the only service from Guangzhou to Latin America. The Guangzhou-Vancouver-Mexico City Service, operated by a Boeing 787, has so far the longest flight time among all the routes of China Southern Airlines with the outbound flight 18 hours 45 minutes and the inbound flight 19hours 45 minutes. As a result of the agreement between China Southern and its SkyTeam partner Aero Mexico, passengers can conveniently transfer to 17 other cities in Mexico after arriving at Mexico City, including Cancun, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, and 13 cities of other countries in America, such as Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, and Havana.
Mexico is geographically located in North America. China Southern has been offering six services from Guangzhou to the continent: Guangzhou-Los Angeles, Guangzhou-Vancouver, Guangzhou-Toronto, Guangzhou-New York, Guangzhou-San Francisco, and Guangzhou-Wuhan-San Francisco. With this new Mexico City service launched, China Southern now has 6 destinations in North America and 48 round-trip flights per week to and from this continent.
