Shaanxi Non-ferrous Metals and China North Industries Group Corporation to Deepen Cooperation

On March 31, Jia Hongqian, a Party members and deputy general manager of China North Industries Group Corporation (CNIGC) and his party visited Shaanxi Non-ferrous Metal Holding Group Co., Ltd. (SNMHG) and had a discussion about deepening strategic cooperation between the central enterprises and local enterprises and carrying out all-round cooperation with Shaanxi in science and technology, resource, supporting facilities, finance, service and other fields. SNMHG Chairman Huang Xiaoping, and Deputy General Manager Li Wei met with the guests at its headquarters in Xi'an.

In September 2012, CNIGC and SNMHG established strategic business cooperation. In March of the following year, the two parties established a strategic partnership by signing a strategic cooperation agreement. In recent years, the two enterprises have carried out extensive cooperation in the development of overseas mineral resources, trading in non-ferrous metal products, mine blasting services and other fields.

Jia Hongqian introduced the CNIGC's production of military products, vehicle manufacturing and development of civilian products such as petrochemical products and the market demand for the Group's rare metal products and geological survey and design services. He commended SNMHG for achieved good business performance under the adverse market environment and pointed out that in recent years, the two Groups have maintained steady growth in main business, shared many similarities in industrial development and built a solid foundation for extensive cooperation. He said the two Groups should further promote military and civilian integration by leveraging the Belt and Road Initiative and the Western development strategy, bring their cooperation to a new height by establishing a contact system and contribute to the growth of state-owned enterprises and local economic.

Huang Xiaoping said during the discussion, "CNIGC is a main force in China's national economy and national defense industry and a leading central enterprise in the expansion of overseas business. Its reform and innovation spirit is worth learning. SNMHG is one of the Chinese enterprises with the most number of nonferrous metal products, and has abundant mineral resources such as molybdenum and alum, a strong geological exploration background and strong talent, management and technical advantages in the development of nonferrous metal resources. Maintaining close cooperation with central enterprises is a preferred option for the Group. We should continue to develop strategic partnerships, focus on long-term development, deepen exchanges, strengthen cooperation in exploration and development of mineral resources through joint ventures and equity acquisitions etc., and endeavor to promote more cooperation projects in equipment manufacturing, engineering blasting and other fields.”

Li Wei introduced the general situation of SNMHG, the development situation of nonferrous metal industry segments and the "13th Five-Year" investment plan. The heads of North Special Energy Group, CNIGC and China Ordins Corporation separately introduced specific business operations such as mineral management, non-ferrous metal trading and mine blasting. CNIGC and SNMHG had a discussion about the sales of titanium materials, supply of mining explosives and project cooperation.
