The 2nd China Mens Wear Summit was held in Ningbo on October 20th 2016, inducting an analysis of mens wear industry from a unique perspective.
“This year marks the 20th anniversary of Ningbo International Fashion Fair, and the 20 years of development of Ningbo garment industry is also a microcosm of Chinas garment industry. Now, the industry is facing new turning points, consumption and technology industry changes, and how to implement smart manufacturing and create a city of sustainable developmenty.” Chen Dapeng, Vice President of China National Textile and Apparel Council stated in his address during the forum.
Ningbo city is the birthplace of Chinas clothing brands, playing an active role in the course of the development of Chinas garment industry. It is awarded the Innovative Model City of Chinese Textile and Garment Industry by China National Textile and Apparel Council for its issuing of the sustainability report and sustainable development index in 2016.
Mr. Guo Kesha, Director of the Economic Policy Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said that the economic trend in the coming years is still not optimistic. He made a comparison of the worlds major monetary policies, proposing that in the process of stabilizing the economy, we also have to exclude some new interference, while seizing the opportunity to deepen the supply-front structural reform. The most important reform is to deepen the reform of the state-owned enterprises to create a favorable space for private enterprises and private capital, and to deepen the financial reform to create a favorable development environment for real economy.
Mr. Yang Dajun delivered a speech on Chinas new trends in consumption and model innovation, analyzing the innovative business model from six aspects: customer value and demand innovation, the income breakthrough model, the revolutionary lowered cost, replicability and scalability, control and pricing power, and the ability of industrial layout.
Professor Wen Lisheng from Donghua University made a speech themed on smart manufacturing technology of mens wear industry, introducing the national garment industrialization technology development process and several manufacturing modes that garment enterprises had experienced.
Xu Qinghua, Board Director & Deputy General Manager of Heilan Home Co., Ltd., also shared their experiences in the retail channels. According to Mr. Zhang Ting, CEO of EVE Group, gave a keynote speech on the theme of“Industrial Transmutation and Culture in Force”, mentioning the inheritance of workmanship as well as the importance of customer accumulation.
Finally, Mr. Hu Ganggao, General Manager of Youngor Clothing Holdings Limited, talked about how Youngor did in personalized customization in face of the same predicament. In terms of brand strategy, customer-centered is a must and it is required to establish a rapid response mechanism centered on the industrial chain. In the future, the company will focus on multi-brand changes, and the general direction is from production and operation to brand operation.
