Jacob： How do you put an elephant in a fridge［冰箱】？

Jimmy： I don’t know， how？

Jacob： You open the door and put it in！ Well， how do you put a baboon［狒狒】in the fridge？

Jimmy： Oh， I know！ You open the door and put it in， right？

Jacob： No， you open the door， take the elephant out， and then you put the baboon in. Well， all the animals except one go to a lion’s birthday party， which one is it？

Jimmy： The lion？

Jacob： No， it’s the baboon. Because he’s still in the fridge！ If there is a river where crocodiles［鱷魚】live， and you want to get across it， how will you？

Jimmy： I will walk over the bridge.

Jacob： No， you will swim across， because all the crocodiles are at the lion’s birthday party！

A parrot［鸚鵡】was in a pet shop with a string［細(xì)繩】attached［連接】to each of its feet. A man who wanted to buy a pet walked in. The shopkeeper came over and tried to sell him a dog. But the man noticed the parrot. He asked what the strings were for， and the shopkeeper replied， “Well， if you pull the right string， the parrot will say， ‘I want cookies.’ If you pull the left string， it will say，‘My name’s Sam.’”

The man asked， “What if I pull both strings？”

The parrot shouted， “I’d fall off my perch［棲木】， you fool！”

A man was very proud of his guard［守衛(wèi)】dog. He would leave it free in the garden to show the world his house was guarded.

One day， a woman knocked at his door， “Is that your big dog outside？”

He said， “Yes， why？”

She said， “I’m sorry， but my dog has just killed your dog！”

“What？” screamed the man. “What kind of dog have you got？”

“A Chihuahua［吉娃娃】，” replied the woman.

“A Chihuahua？ How could that little thing kill my big fine guard dog？”

“

“I think it got stuck［卡住】in the throat of your dog！”
