【摘要】數(shù)字縮略語內(nèi)涵豐富，使用適當(dāng)?shù)姆g方法對其進(jìn)行處理可以幫助國外讀者對中國國情有更正確和深刻的理解。經(jīng)研究筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)《政府工作報告》中數(shù)字縮略語多使用意譯的翻譯方法。

The primary goal of this paper is to summarize the translation methods for the translation of expressions with numerals in Government Work Report （hereafter GWR） from 2010 to 2015. After analyzing the translation of expressions with numerals in GWR， it can be found that paraphrase translation method is mainly adopted. In other words， the translator aims to make foreign readers understand the contents and connotations of expressions with numerals of GWR. I am going to select several examples and analyze the translation methods.

1. Literal Translation

ST： 零就業(yè)家庭

TT： zero-employment family

“零就業(yè)家庭” means that all members are unemployed in the family. In the translation， the word order is preserved and the words are translated singly by their most common meaning， which meets the requirement of literal translation method.

2. Literal + Paraphrase

ST： 八項(xiàng)規(guī)定

TT： eight-point decisions on improving Party and government conduct

The translator not only translates “八項(xiàng)規(guī)定” into eight-point decisions by using literal translation method， also explains that these decisions referring to improve the conduct of Communist Party of China and the Chinese government in order to providing a detailed version of 八項(xiàng)規(guī)定 to foreigners.

3. Paraphrase

ST： 三公經(jīng)費(fèi)

TT： spending on official overseas trips， official vehicles and official hospitality

“三公” includes spending on official overseas trips， official vehicles and official hospitality. The paraphrase method was adopted by the translator to explain the contents of “三公” ， in order to transmit the precise meaning of the source language in such a way that both content and language are readily acceptable and comprehensible to the reader.
