Gai Ruyin, deputy head of the Standing Committee of Heilongjiang Provincial Peoples Congress is being investigated for suspected“severe disciplinary violations,” the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China announced.
Gai Ruyin, born March 1953 is a former Chinese official who spent most of his career in Liaoning and Heilongjiang. He was the vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial Peoples Congress and Communist Party Secretary of Harbin.
On December 8, 2015, Gai was placed under investigation by the Communist Partys anti-corruption agency. He was the second high-ranking politician being examined from Heilongjiang province after the 18th Party Congress in 2012.endprint
