EMO MILANO 2015, which will take place at Fieramilano from October 5th - 10th 2015, held a press conference on April 21st, 2015, in Beijing China International Exhibition Center (New Venue), aiming at promoting all aspects of multi-dimensional deepen cooperation. Pier Luigi Streparava, General Commissioner of EMO MILANO 2015, Antonino Laspina, Coordinator-General in China as well as the Chief Representative of Beijing Office, ITA-ICE, and Wang Liming, Executive Vice President of China Machine Tool & Tool Builders Association attended the event.
The convening of the press conference was in the prime of the second day of the 14th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT 2015). According to Laspina, the Italian manufacturers have been attaching great importance to the Chinese market. During this years CIMT exhibition, the ITA-ICE and the UCIMU brought as many as 46 Italian manufacturers, as Intalian National Pavilion, to exhibit in the show. It is worth mentioning that, the Italian National Pavilion has participated in all CIMT exhibitions since the first session, and this is the most direct and effective way for advanced Italian machine tool products and technology to march into the Chinese market. The participation was also to implement the relevant strategic cooperation agreement that Sino-Italian Business Council established in Beijing in June last year.
Alternately hosted by Italy and Germany, EMO is the main exhibition for the international operators of the manufacturing industry, who will meet in Milan next autumn, coming from all over the world for a six-day, full-immersion event among the novelties proposed by the major worldwide players. In the halls of fieramilano Rho-Pero the largest factory in the world will be set up. There will be a wide range of products on display: machine tools, robots, automation, additive manufacturing, mechatronic solutions and auxiliary technologiesItaly.
“Machines to build the future, cutting-edge solutions that give the possibility of achieving what mankind has imagined, and technologies on which the improvement of the quality of life depends: this and much more will be EMO MILANO 2015.”
According to Streparava, to date, over 110,000 square meters net of exhibition surface have already been booked; if the trend of applications to exhibit at EMO remains on the levels registered up to now, the event, for which the whole exhibition fairground fieramilano Rho-Pero has been reserved, may exceed 120,000 square meters. More than 1,300 companies have already sent their applications to exhibit at EMO MILANO 2015.
On the scene there will be the best of a sector which today is worth 64 billion euro (world production), however likely to increase in a strong way already in the next three years, driven by the recovery of the world consumption of production systems.
Wang Liming also said that China Machine Tool & Tool Builders Association will organize a delegation to participate in EMO MILANO 2015. Laspina has begun working in China since 2003, and in these 12 years, he witnessed the great changes that Chinas machine tool industry has undergone. He expressed that the ITA-ICE will provide the necessary assistanc to the Chinese manufacturing delegation. “This year marks the 45th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy; we believe that the success of this CIMT 2015 and EMO 2015 will be a great gift for the commemoration of the two countries this year.”
China and Italy will strengthen cooperation to promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges as well as technological exchanges, making joint efforts for the common goal of “mutual benefit and collective wins, common development”.
