Spanish Carnival at Waldorf Astoria Beijing

From October 12 to 18, Brasserie 1893 at Waldorf Astoria Beijing presents the most anticipated gourmet tour in the city—Spanish Carnival featuring extraordinary Spanish cuisine to amaze local gastronomes. Indulge in variety of signature Spanish dishes, classic Spanish mellow wine and enjoy a convivial moment with your friends and family to explore the unique Spanish culture, and appreciate the classic Spanish style.

The Executive Chef of Waldorf Astoria Beijing, Mr. Benoit Chargy and his talented culinary team will be presenting his enticing tapas tasting and delicate Spanish gourmet menu. The a la carte menu includes the classic Tapas: Deep-Fried Chicken & Cheese Croquettes, Spanish Chorizo, Yellow Chilli Eggplant Braised Wagyu Beef, Suckling lamb chops Piquillo pepper and herb jus and so on. Six of them will be chosen as daily options each week.

The chef’s recommended dishes are Grilled Iberian Presa Bellota, Seared Bacalao a la vizcaina, Paella Valenciana,—which feature multiple ingredients, attractive color, rich flavor and la ong aftertaste.

Three desserts named Crème Catalana & Orange croustillant Stewed fresh peach, Saffron poached pear with warm almond chocolate cake and Sponge Cake Lemon & Cinnamon Sauce boast a fresh, soft and smooth taste which will linger in your mouth.

You can pair any of your choices with classic Spanish wines such as Pere Ventura Primer Brut Reserva Cava, La Montesa DOC 2011 —Alvaro Palacios, Camins del Priorat DOC 2013—Alvaro Palacios, Petalos DOC 2012—Alvaro Palacios, which specifically provides top-level products to consumers who are passionate about quality wines.
