“We support large American businesses setting up regional headquarters or research and development centers in China and encourage more small and medium-sized companies to expand businesses in China. Meanwhile， China will keep increasing its investment in the United States，” he said.

Xi began his first state visit to the United States in Seattle on September 22 before traveling to Washington， D.C. for a summit with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama.

The Chinese president also attended a series of meetings marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the UN in New York City from September 26 to 28.
