Yesterday was Tree Planting Day. My classmates and I planted many young trees on the hill near our school.

Trees are very important for us. They have green leaves and strong trunks. First of all， large areas of trees can stop the soil from being washed away. As a result， the rivers will get cleaner. Secondly， trees can provide people with fresh air， which is very important to peoples health. Besides， trees can make our living environment much more beautiful. They can give shade in hot days.

Since trees are so important to our life， we should protect trees from being cut down by the humans.
