A woman came out of her house and saw three old men with white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said， “I dont think I know you， but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.”

一個(gè)女人從家里出來，看到三位白胡子的老人坐在她的前院，她不認(rèn)識他們。她說：“我想我不認(rèn)識你們，不過你們一定餓了，請進(jìn)來吃點(diǎn)東西吧?！?/p>

“Is the man of the house home？” they asked.

“男主人在家嗎？”三個(gè)老人問道。

“No，” she said. “Hes out.”

“不，”她說，“他出去了?！?/p>

“Then we cannot come in，” they replied. ? “那么我們不能進(jìn)去?！比齻€(gè)老人回答道。

In the evening when her husband came home， she told him what had happened.“Go tell them I am home and invite them in，” he said.

傍晚，女人的丈夫回來了，她告訴丈夫發(fā)生的事情?！叭ジ嬖V他們我在家里，請他們進(jìn)來?！闭煞蛘f道。

The woman went out and invited the men in. “We do not go into a house together，” they replied. “Why is that？” she wanted to know. One of the old men explained， “His name is Wealth，” he said pointing to one of his friends， and said pointing to another one， “He is Success，

and I am Love. Now you shall go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.”

女人出去請他們進(jìn)來?！拔覀儾荒芤黄疬M(jìn)來。”他們說?！盀槭裁茨?？”女人想知道原因。其中一個(gè)老人解釋道：“他的名字叫‘財(cái)富，”他指著其中一個(gè)朋友，然后又指著另外一個(gè)朋友說：“他的名字叫‘成功，我的名字叫‘愛?，F(xiàn)在你可以進(jìn)去和你丈夫討論一下，你們想讓我們中的哪位進(jìn)去呢？”

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. “How nice！” he said， “Since that is the case， let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth！”

女人進(jìn)去告訴她的丈夫，丈夫很高興，“太好了！”他說道，“既然那樣，讓我們邀請‘財(cái)富吧。讓他進(jìn)來，讓我們財(cái)富滿屋吧！”

His wife disagreed. “My dear， why dont we invite Success？” Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion， “Would it not be better to invite Love？

Our home will then be filled with love！”

他的妻子不同意，“親愛的，我們?yōu)槭裁床谎垺晒δ?？”他們的兒媳婦在房子的另一個(gè)角落聽到他們的談話，跳起來發(fā)表自己的意見：“邀請‘愛不是更好嗎？那樣我們的家就充滿了愛！”

“Let us follow our daughter-in-laws advice，” said the husband to his wife， “Go out and invite Love to be our guest.”

“讓我們聽兒媳婦的吧，”丈夫?qū)ζ拮诱f，“出去請‘愛進(jìn)來做我們的客人吧?！?/p>

The woman went out and asked the three old men， “Which one of you is Love？ Please

come in and be our guest.” Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him.

女人出去問三位老人：“您們?nèi)荒膫€(gè)是‘愛呀？請進(jìn)來做我們的客人吧。”名為“愛”的老人站起來朝房子走去，另外兩個(gè)也站起來跟了進(jìn)去。

Surprised， the lady asked Wealth and Success， “I only invited Love， why are you

coming in？” The old men replied together， “If you had invited Wealth or Success， the other two of us would have stayed out， but since you invited Love， wherever he goes， we go with him. Wherever there is Love， there is also Wealth and Success！”

女人很驚訝，她問“財(cái)富”和“成功”：“我只邀請了‘愛，您們?yōu)槭裁催M(jìn)來呢？”老人異口同聲地回答：“如果你邀請了‘財(cái)富或‘成功，我們中的另外兩個(gè)將會呆在外面，但是因?yàn)槟阊埩恕異?，無論他走到哪里，我們都跟著他。哪里有愛，哪里就有財(cái)富和成

功。”
