Recently, Chinalco and Gansu Provincial People’s Government signed “Framework Agreement for Strategic Cooperation on Reform, Restructuring and Transition Development of Chinalco’s Electrolytic Aluminum Enterprises in Gansu”, signifying that the strategic cooperation between Chinalco and Gansu Province had made new substantive progress.

According to the agreement, both sides will adhere to the guidelines of “Sticking to the present, focusing on long term, bringing out complementary advantages, mutual benefits for win-win”, propel the reform restructuring and transition development of Chinalco’s electrolytic aluminum enterprises in Gansu. Firstly, quicken the pace of coal-powersmelting integration project construction in Lanzhou Lianhai region; secondly, intensify support efforts to Chinalco’s enterprises in Gansu; thirdly, support the asset restructuring of Gansu Hualu Aluminum, drive forward enterprise transition and upgrading; fourthly, actively create conditions to jointly propel the development of Gansu Hexi region. In order to smoothly drive forward strategic cooperation between both sides, both sides will set up a joint work team to together coordinate and push forward all work tasks, and ensure the implementation of relevant issues determined by the agreement.
