Daily Talk(值日?qǐng)?bào)告)又叫Duty Report,是由學(xué)生輪流在英語(yǔ)課前做的一項(xiàng)聽(tīng)說(shuō)活動(dòng),可以是演講、對(duì)話、短劇、故事或謎語(yǔ)等等。通過(guò)幾年的堅(jiān)持實(shí)踐,我們收到了良好的效果。
兼顧全體,激勵(lì)參與
小盧和小波紀(jì)律松散,成績(jī)較差,平時(shí)很少參與課堂活動(dòng)。有幾個(gè)科任老師都說(shuō)不想叫他們回答問(wèn)題。但是,如果我們放棄了這樣的學(xué)生,就會(huì)給教學(xué)效果造成一定的影響。于是我想方設(shè)法鼓勵(lì)他們參加Daily Talk,并對(duì)他們進(jìn)行了必要的輔導(dǎo)。特別愛(ài)表現(xiàn)自己的他們,第二天信心十足地走上講臺(tái),說(shuō)了幾句地道純正的英語(yǔ)。
Lu: Hello, Wu Shuibo.
Wu: Hi, Lu Jiaqu. Whats your favourite colour?
Lu: Blue. And whats your favourite food?
Wu: Chicken. Whats your favourite sport?
Lu: Basketball.
Lu and Wu: Thank you!
臺(tái)下馬上響起了熱烈的掌聲,我及時(shí)表?yè)P(yáng)了他們。那節(jié)課,他們聽(tīng)得很認(rèn)真,還大膽地反復(fù)朗讀課文的句子,想多學(xué)幾句,下次繼續(xù)做好Daily Talk.
促進(jìn)交流,引發(fā)探究
輪到小文同學(xué)做Daily Talk時(shí),她走上講臺(tái)對(duì)大家說(shuō): Hello, everyone! My favourite subject is English. Do you like English, too? When I grow up, I want to be an English teacher. Now I must study hard. But sometimes I have some English problems. Can you help me? Lets help each other and learn from each other, OK? Thank you!在集體討論時(shí),同學(xué)們提問(wèn): What is Wen Guidis favourite subject? What does she want to be when she grows up? Why does she need any help? Can you help her? Is it good or bad to be a teacher? My aunt says she doesnt like to be a teacher. 最后一個(gè)問(wèn)題是個(gè)很有探究性的問(wèn)題,引發(fā)了大家對(duì)職業(yè)的探究。
展示自我,完善自我
輪到小榮和小強(qiáng)兩位同學(xué)做Daily Talk的時(shí)候,他們各帶回了一張家庭照片,向大家介紹他們的家人。小榮先說(shuō):Hello, everyone! This is a picture of my family. My home have five people.(這個(gè)句子不符合英語(yǔ)的表達(dá)習(xí)慣)They are my father, my mother, my sister, my brother and I. Look! This man is my father. This is my mother. This girl is my sister. This boy is my brother. (poiting a baby)Who is this?大家一起回答:“You!”然后我問(wèn)了一個(gè)問(wèn)題:How many people are there in Deng Zhirongs family?用強(qiáng)調(diào)的語(yǔ)氣說(shuō)“are there”,再重復(fù)說(shuō):There are five people in his family.糾正了剛才的錯(cuò)誤。
撞擊智慧火花,培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新能力
由于Daily Talk給了學(xué)生很大的發(fā)展空間,所以經(jīng)常會(huì)聽(tīng)到學(xué)生很有創(chuàng)意的談話。如3月7日課前兩位同學(xué)的對(duì)話內(nèi)容是:
A: What will you do this weekend?
B: I will go to plant trees.
A: Plant trees? Why?
B: It is planting Day next Sunday.
A: Oh! Where will you go to plant trees?
B: The hill behind our village.
A: Who will go with you?
B: My sister. Would you like to go with us?
A: Great! What time shall we go?
B: At 9:00 in the morning, OK?
A: No problem. See you then.
話題回歸生活,回歸社會(huì),同時(shí)也體現(xiàn)了他們的創(chuàng)新思維。
