1.Once upon a time,there was a king,who had 11 sons and a daughter Alice.The eleven princes went to school with a heart-shaped badge and a sword.They wrote on the gold board with diamond pen.Their sister Alice had a picture book,which was worth half of the kingdom.從前有一個國王，他有11個兒子和一個女兒艾麗莎。這11個王子上學校的時候，胸前佩帶著心形的徽章，身邊掛著寶劍。他們用鉆石筆在金板上寫字。他們的妹妹艾麗莎有一本畫冊，價值抵得上半個王國。

2.But their happy life ended soon after their mother died.The king married an evil queen,and she treated the children badly.The grand ceremony was held in the whole palace,but the queen only gave the children a cup of sand.可是幸福的生活很快就結束了，他們的母親去世了。國王和一個惡毒的王后結了婚。她對這些可憐的孩子非常不好。整個宮殿里在舉行盛大的慶祝，她只給這些孩子們一杯沙子。

3.One week later,the queen sent the little sister Alice to a farmer’s house in the countryside.And then she said many bad words about the princes,which made the father unwilling to talk with the sons.一個星期以后，王后把小妹妹艾麗莎送到一個鄉(xiāng)下農(nóng)人家里去寄住。她還在國王面前說了許多關于王子們的壞話，國王再也不愿意理他們了。

4.The queen changed the princes into wild birds with witchcraft.“Fly to the wild field and make a living by yourselves,” said the evil queen, “Fly away like those giant birds without voice.”王后把11個王子用巫術變成了野鳥。“你們飛到野外去吧，你們自己去謀生吧，”惡毒的王后說，“你們像那些沒有聲音的巨鳥一樣飛走吧?！?/p>

5.The princes turned into 11 beautiful wild geese.They let out strange cries and flew out of the window of the palace.They flew over the park and to the forest.王子們變成了11只美麗的野天鵝。他們發(fā)出了一陣奇異的叫聲，從宮殿的窗子飛出去了。他們飛過公園，飛向森林里去了。

6.When they came to their sister’s,it was still dark.Their sister was sleeping in the farmer’s house.They flew over the roof,flapping and looking down.Then they flew to the forest off the coast.當他們經(jīng)過他們妹妹所在農(nóng)戶家的時候，天還沒有亮。他們的妹妹還在農(nóng)人的屋子里面熟睡。他們在屋頂上盤旋著，拍著翅膀，向下張望。然后他們一直飛向海岸邊的一個大黑森林里去。

7.The poor Alice was playing with a leaf in the farmer’s house,because she had no other toys.She cut a small hole in the leaf,through which she could look into the sun,and she missed her brothers too much.可憐的小艾麗莎呆在農(nóng)人的屋子里，玩著一片綠葉，因為她沒有別的玩具。她在葉子上穿了一個小洞，通過這個小洞她可以朝著太陽望，這時她想起了她的哥哥們。

8.Time flew!The little girl was 15 years old.It was time for her to go back home.The queen noticed that Alice was so beautiful,and she was angry and her heart was filled with hatred.She wanted to change her into a wild goose.時間過得真快?。∞D(zhuǎn)眼小姑娘就15歲了，是她回家的時候了。王后看到她是那樣美麗，心中不禁惱怒起來，充滿了憎恨。她想把她變成一只野天鵝。

9.One early morning,the queen went into the bathroom to do her witchcraft.She took up three toads.She said to the first toad, “When Alice comes into the bathroom,you sit on her head to make her as stupid as you.”一天清早，王后走進浴室去施行巫術。她拿起三只癩蛤蟆，對第一只說：“當艾麗莎走進浴室的時候，你就坐在她的頭上，使她變得像你一樣笨?！?/p>

10.She said to the second toad,“You sit on her forehead to make her as ugly as you,then her father will never recognize her.” She said to the third,“ You lie on her heart to give her an evil heart,which will make her upset.” 她對第二只說：“請你坐在她的前額上，她就會像你一樣丑陋，她的父親就認不出她了?！彼龑Φ谌徽f：“你躺在她的心上，使她有一顆罪惡的心，讓她因此而感到痛苦。”

11.The queen asked Alice to come in and she helped her take off clothes and asked her to take a bath.When she jumped into water,the first toad sat on her head,the second her forehead and the third her heart.Of course,she didn’t notice all these.王后把艾麗莎喊進來，替她脫了衣服，叫她洗澡。當她進到水里的時候，第一只癩蛤蟆坐到她的頭上，第二只坐到她的前額上，第三只坐到她的胸口上。當然，艾麗莎根本不會注意到這些事兒。

12.The evil queen painted Alice with walnut sauce,which made the girl brown.She smeared the girl’s face with a slice of smelly ointment,and she made the girl’s beautiful hair into a mess.Now nobody can recognize beautiful Alice.惡毒的王后把艾麗莎全身都擦了核桃汁，使這女孩子變得棕黑。她又在這女孩子美麗的臉上涂上一層發(fā)臭的油膏，把她漂亮的頭發(fā)弄得亂糟糟。誰也認不出美麗的艾麗莎了。

13.When the king saw the daughter,he was so surprised that he said this was not his daughter.Now nobody could recognize her except the dog and swallow,but they are animals and couldn’t speak out the truth.當國王看到她的時候，不禁大吃一驚，說這不是他的女兒。除了看家狗和燕子以外，誰也不認識她了。但是他們都是可憐的動物，不能說出事情的真相。

14.Poor Alice began to cry and she thought of her 11 brothers.She walked out of the palace sadly.She walked through the field and wetlands all day along.And she walked into the dark forest to look for her brothers.可憐的艾麗莎哭起來了。她想起了她遠別了的11個哥哥。她傷心地走出宮殿。她在田野和沼澤地上走了一整天，最后到大黑森林里去尋找她的哥哥們。

15.She lost her way and walked off the roads and paths.And darkness fell,and she lay on the soft moss.There were many fireflies shining in the flowers and moss.She dreamt of her brothers all the night.她迷失了方向，遠離了大路和小徑；天黑了，她就在柔軟的青苔上躺下來。在花叢中，在青苔里，閃著無數(shù)螢火蟲的亮光。她一整夜都夢見她的哥哥們。

16.The next day,she woke up and came to the lake to wash her face.She was scared to see her face in the lake.She took off her clothes and walked into the water.There was no more beautiful princess in the world.第二天，她醒來后來到湖邊洗臉，當她看到自己的面孔的時候，感到非常驚恐。于是她脫下衣服，走到清涼的水里。這個世界上再也找不到比她更美麗的公主了。

17.She dressed herself,did her hair and walked into a running spring and drank some water with her hands.And then she continued to the deep forest to look for her dear bothers.她穿好衣服、扎好頭發(fā)，走到一股奔流的泉水邊，用手捧水喝。隨后她繼續(xù)向森林的深處走去，她要去找她親愛的哥哥們。

19.The next day,she met an old grandma with a basket of fruits.She asked whether the old grandma saw princes pass the forest riding on horses.The old grandma answered,“I only saw 11 wild geese with gold crowns swim across the river nearby yesterday.”第二天，她遇見一個老婆婆提著一籃子水果。艾麗莎問她有沒有看到11個王子騎著馬走過這片森林。老婆婆說，“昨天我看到11只戴著金冠的天鵝在游到了河的對岸?！?/p>

20.The old grandma led her walk along the river till the place where the river met the sea.A beautiful sea appeared in front of the young lady.But there was no boat and no sail in sight.How could she move on?老婆婆帶著她沿著河向前走，一直走到河流匯入?？诘牡胤?。在這年輕女孩子面前展現(xiàn)的是一片美麗的大海，可是海上既沒有帆，也沒有船。她怎樣前進呢？
