One day， two boys were walking through a field and found some corn seeds (種子). They each took one seed home and planted it.

一天，兩個(gè)男孩穿過田地，發(fā)現(xiàn)地上有一些玉米種子，于是，他們每人撿了一粒，帶回家種到了土里。

On the second day， when the first boy didn’t see a sprout (嫩芽)， he dug (挖) up the seed to see if it had sprouted. He dug up the seed and replanted it every day， but the corn would not grow. In fact， the seed had germinated (發(fā)芽). But the boy always didn’t allow it to keep contact with the soil. As a result， the seed couldn’t take root (生根) and obtain (吸收) nutrients (營養(yǎng)). So it died.

第二天，第一個(gè)男孩見種子還沒有發(fā)出芽來，便將種子從土里挖出來，看它到底有沒有發(fā)芽。每一天他都要將種子從土里挖出來，然后再重新種上，但是種子始終不長。其實(shí)，種子已經(jīng)發(fā)芽了，但是男孩總不讓它與土壤接觸，結(jié)果種子無法生根，吸收養(yǎng)分，便死了。

The second boy planted his seed and left it alone. He imagined that the seed would grow into a tall stalk (莖稈) of corn. He waited patiently as rains came and sunshine bathed the ground with warmth. In ten days， a small sprout had broken through the ground， its curled (卷曲的) leaves reaching toward the sky.

第二個(gè)男孩把種子種上后，就沒再打擾它。他想象著他播下的種子會(huì)長成一株茁壯高大的玉米。不管下雨還是溫暖的陽光沐浴大地，他都耐心地等待著。十天后，一個(gè)嫩芽破土而出，它那卷曲的葉子伸向天空。

Achieving (實(shí)現(xiàn)) any desire begins with a seed sown (種) in the mind. But it requires us to wait patiently for the desire to come true. If we try our best， the storm in life can strengthen our decisions， to make us improve an exisiting dream， to nurtrue a new dream， or begin over if necessary.

任何愿望的實(shí)現(xiàn)都始于我們心靈中播下的那顆種子，但它需要我們耐心地等待這一愿望成為現(xiàn)實(shí)。如果我們盡心盡力，生活中的暴風(fēng)雨只會(huì)加強(qiáng)我們的決心，使我們完善已有的夢想，滋養(yǎng)新的夢想，必要時(shí)重新再來。

Do we plant the seed of a beautiful dream in the fertile (肥沃的) soil of our minds， and then dig it up? What could you achieve if you allowed your seed to grow， continuing to foucus your spiritual (心靈的) eyes on the harvest? Just sow your seed， allow it to grow， and expect an abundant (豐富的) harvest.

在心靈的沃土中，我們播下一顆美好夢想的種子后，是不是不待它生根發(fā)芽就將它挖出土壤？如果你讓種子生長，不斷將你心靈的眼睛投向那豐收時(shí)的景象，你會(huì)收獲什么？播下種子，讓它成長，期待著大豐收就可以了。
