According the news report on February 25,Wanshan district and Galaxy Aluminum Co.,Ltd. in Shengzhou, Zhejiang province signed an agreement on aluminum foil and aluminum sheet production on February 19 in Sanya,Hainan province, a sign that the project is officially established in Wanshan.

From November 18 to 22, 2010, an investment invitation delegation from Tongren and Wanshn made a tour to Zhejiang and successfully signed a letter of intent worth of RMB 800 million with Galaxy Aluminum Co., Ltd.in Shengzhou, Zhejiang. On December 3, the Economic and Information Commission of Guizhou province, Tongren municipal government, CHINALCO Guizhou branch, Wanshan and Galaxy Aluminum Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum on the aluminum foil and aluminum sheet project. The site of the project is in Laoshankou industrial park in Wanshan by the Tongyu expressway, covering 200 mu (about 133,400 square meters). The company is engaged in aluminum processing production, such as aluminum sheet, aluminum strip, aluminum foil (foil for air conditioner, cable foil, aluminum foil for electrolytic capacitor, food packaging foils, etc.), hydrophilic foil, embossed sheet (aluminum alloy sheet). As the company is in full operation, it will produce 50,000 tons of aluminum foil and 100,000 tons of aluminum sheet annually. RMB 300 million will be invested in Phase I with the industrial output value of RMB 300 million this year. RMB 700 million will be invested in Phase II between 2012 and 2013, with the expected industrial output value of over RMB 3 billion.
