Sydney,a more and more international city,is the capital of New South Wales,Australia.It is also the biggest and oldest city of Australia.The 2000 Sydney Olympic Games highly raises Sydney’s fame and publicity.200 years ago,it was totally wilderness here.After 200 years’painstaking developing and managing,Sydney has become the most prosperous city of Australia.Being called“New York in the Southern Hemisphere”,it is the center of business,trade,finance,tourism and culture.悉尼是澳大利亞新南威爾士州首府，澳大利亞最大、最古老的城市，也是一個(gè)日益國(guó)際化的大都市。2000年悉尼奧運(yùn)會(huì)使悉尼的國(guó)際聲望和知名度空前提高。200多年前，這里是一片荒原。經(jīng)過(guò)兩個(gè)世紀(jì)的艱辛開(kāi)拓與經(jīng)營(yíng)，它已成為澳大利亞最繁華的現(xiàn)代化、國(guó)際化城市，有“南半球紐約”之稱。如今的悉尼是澳大利亞第一大城市，也是商業(yè)、貿(mào)易、金融、旅游和文化中心。
