Key：Table Tennis.乒乓球是中國的國球。

2.Why table tennis is also called Pingpong ball?為什么有乒乓球的說法呢？

Key：The English name is table tennis,and its Chinese meaning is“桌上網(wǎng)球”.In 1900,celluloid ball appeared.Because of the sound “pingpong” of bat hitting the bat,it is also called Pingpong ball.乒乓球的英語表達(dá)是“table tennis”，漢語意思是“桌上網(wǎng)球”。到 1900 年左右，出現(xiàn)了賽璐珞制的球，由于拍與球撞擊發(fā)出“乒”而落臺時發(fā)出“乓”的聲音，故而又稱“乒乓球”。
