kind of 在英語中變幻莫測，不信，請看下面三個句子，你能分清kind of 的不同含義嗎？

①Because they are kind of interesting.

②What kind of movies do you like?

③Its very kind of you to help me.

【要點提示】

1. kind of常常可以用作副詞，意思是“有點兒，稍微，幾乎”，常用來修飾形容詞或動詞，而且此處的kind沒有數(shù)的變化。例如：

He is kind of lazy. 他有點懶。

I kind of like this book.

我有點喜歡這本書。

Where is my coat? I feel kind of cold.

我的大衣呢？我覺得有點冷。

We kind of hope she can come tomorrow.

我們多少有點希望她明天能來。

故第①句中kind of 意為“有點兒；稍微”。

2. kind用作名詞時意為“種類”，常和介詞of連用，后接用來限定種類的名詞，此處的kind有數(shù)的變化。例如：

That is a kind of flower. 那是一種花。

There are many kinds of animals in the zoo. 動物園里有許多動物。

故第②句中kind of意為“種類”。

3. kind用作形容詞時意為“和藹的，善良的”。例如：

Its very kind of you. 你真好！

The old man and his daughter are very kind to us. 那位老人和他的女兒對我們很好。

若表示“某人做某事太好了”常用“Its kind of sb. to do sth.”。例如：
