Brussels is the capital of Belgium. But why do people also call it the capital of Europe? Because in addition to the headquarters of the EU, there are hundreds in Brussels. Brussels has held two World Expos, one was in 1935, and the other was in 1958.
There is a statue of a boy. The boy is brave and bright. One day, someone wanted to blow up the city. The little boy found the burning fuse. Then, he pissed on it to put out the fire. The clever boy saved the city.
The Atomium is another landmark of Brussels. It was built for the World Expo 1958. Why are there 9 big balls on the Atomium? Because there were only 9 members in the EU back then.
