Turkey 火雞
Turkey is the main dish (主菜). So we also call Thanksgiving “Turkey Day”.
大家通常早早就開始為大餐做準(zhǔn)備。
First, we buy a turkey and clean it. Then we make the stuffing (填充物). The stuffing is usually bread and herbs (香草). 把好吃的填充物塞進(jìn)火雞里,就可以開始烤了!
Side dish 配菜
What else do we eat? We have sweet pumpkin pies (南瓜派). 土豆泥也是感恩節(jié)餐桌上的一個(gè)“主角”。And fruit! Its a time for grapes, pears, oranges and apples.
Wishbone 許愿骨
Kids can play a game after the meal. 火雞里有一塊“V”字形的骨頭。We call it a wishbone.
Mom or Dad takes the bone(骨頭) from the turkey. Two kids pull the bone apart (扯開). 誰扯下的那塊骨頭更長(zhǎng)呢?You can make a wish!

So much to eat on Turkey Day! Want to share(分享) with your friends? But do you know how to be a good host (主人) or guest (客人)?
For the host
Try to make your guests feel at home.
Introduce (介紹) everyone. Talk to them.
For the guest
Take a small gift. Be on time (準(zhǔn)時(shí)). If you dontlike the food, just smile.
